Yet another CSI spinoff is in the works, this one about cybercrimes. No doubt technical matters will be handled with the same amount of aplomb as previous CSI shows:


Scrubs to become a Broadway musical. Apparently the "My Old Lady" episode will be a major inspiration. Might turn out pretty cool!

OK a Space Jam sequel sounds pretty fucking stupid (because that movie was awful) but I guess it probably makes financial sense. However, shut up. Something more important just happened.

NBC is making a Heroes sequel miniseries.

I just... why? Why??? Was anyone asking for this besides creator Tim Kring? Like literally anyone? It went from the pop culture sensation to failing dud within less than a year, who wants more? This is the show that, after being hailed as "Lost done right"*, so decidedly shit the bed creatively, that it so thoroughly erased all the goodwill it had built up, somehow getting worse and worse each season until they reached the nadir: season four, the one where the bad guys were evil carnies.

*one must remember this came early in Lost's third season, where it was at its most wheel-spinning-iest; Heroes could do something like "Company Man" (which is probably the only episode of Heroes worth rewatching, looking back) while Lost had polar bear cages for weeks. Of course, Lost then kicked into high gear, culminating with its amazing third season finale (NOT PENNY'S BOAT :_;) while Heroes started showing its seams in its season finale. And then season 2 happened.

There will be another version of Anchorman 2 coming out in theaters, with pretty much all new jokes. This is somewhat similar to the direct-to-DVD alternate cut of Anchorman 1, which had an entirely different plotline composed of alternate takes and cut scenes. Pretty weird, but I'm probably gonna go see it!

The Lego Movie sequel already has a release date. Pretty nuts, hopefully they can keep the same quality as the first one.

Finally, James Franco has come out in defense of Shia LaBeouf.

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's next movie will be about the Genesis/SNES console war.

Sadly, unlike their last movie, This Is The End, this movie will probably not have as many gigantic demon cocks.
