Title: The Magic Toaster's WIPs for 2015: Current WIP: Houki Gonjou

Alrighty, since i never actually have a formal wip page i thought it should be good to actually make one now. So heres what i got for this year planned so far. Be expected of some weird ass wips that tend to be from sources people don't know jack shit about because its cool that way. Anywho, here goes nothing! Current WIP active: Houki Gonjou

Houki Gonjou

Some wip i showed off like a year ago but never fully finished. A OC of Ryoucchi(My partner) using the sprites of Dorrpo(i think thats her name)from the unfinished doujin game, Lunatic Bellvent.
Features: Full on custom gameplay.
Progress: 90%(?) Needs lvl 3 completed and AI finished

Shatterrax

I dunno when i'll get to him but he comes from avengers In Galactic Storm and interested me due to him looking somewhat like a possibly Karmen Rider or Super Sentai Villain. so expect something possibly from one of those!
Features: More then likely semi-accurate gameplay. Can't detail too much else.
Progress: Still sprite ripping phase.

Majin R

Once again another KFX wip. Based around Darku tenshi elements and some capcom stuff.
Features: Semi-accurate gameplay to the source. More then likely very different from the source because dear lord he was broken as fuck in the source.

Quack

One of Yotoman's older works. Still pretty neat.
Features: Semi-accurate gameplay to the source. Some form of gimmick may be added as a result of it being one of his older works so theres not as much there

JOL-L

A pretty fun character from what i know from using him in Knuckle fighter. Should be pretty fun to mess with.
Features: Mostly accurate gameplay other then fixes on bad clsns and stuff from the source.

B.O.X

Just some strange design concept i found interesting enough to make and because hes a rival to future project of mine i have not yet revealed.
Features: semi-accurate gameplay. Probably a lot of Frankenspriting will be involved as he doesn't have much.
Progress: Still sprite ripping phase.

If ya got any questions regarding my wips let me know! I'll be more then happy to answer any of them. I got like so many wips in my mind that its more then likely i might not ever even reach some.

Wow, I'm intrigued about KFX and Happy Fight doujin games, good to see there're some people who wants to make more doujin game fighters for MUGEN :D good luck with your projects!!

Also, a char from Avengers in Galactic Storm?? Wow, I want to see that too!!

Actually i put the wrong name for what game she was from. Its actually called "Happy Battle!". I'll fix that up on the first post. Heres the gameplay form the game. Theres a link for it in the description but however i cant pull the files out of it to actually play the game itself so you might have better trouble getting the game to operate for an idea of what she does.

Indeed. theres so much unconverted from there to mugen that it gives me a lot of fresher options to work with then most authors currently do.

Im being a little lazy with finishing up the lvl3 so i hope i can knock it out this weekend or something. Anyways heres a little animation that was edited for it with some help from my partner Ryouccchi. (Note: Yes, the sword needs to be edited more to fit the motions, its just placeholder sprites for now).

looking at shino in that vid, everything about her screams that she was edited from kumi from asuka. i guess that engine they used is prone to that but i just noticed that. since thats the case though, it's probably smart if you try working with that sort of thing. like if you need stuff that the source of shino doesent have, you can like take kumi and frankensprite it a bit. just a suggestion.

Sorry for the wait on the updates and sorry if the video seems a bit messy. Im still rather new to video editing. Heres a showcase of the new functions and some of things i missed last time(Note: Some things are still subject to be changed). In other news i decided to remove Shino from my wip list due to still being unable to get a functioning copy of the game making it not possible to use. I will post her sprites at some point later however for those whom want to try and make her.

Really nice Dhaslim errrr... Rushim.  ;D

I have noticed something... Teleport to the other side sprites/animation should be mirrored, Rushim should be already turned to p2 when he´s in his teleport animation and not land and then turn around facing p2.

On another note Rushim is almost completed. Currently all i need to finish is his lvl 3 and check for bugs and such. Other then that he should be done pretty soon. Hopefulyl by this weekend.

But anyways in other news im now going to start up on Seasme as a kind of break. His simple nature should be pretty easy to follow and should be easy to do so that should be out sometime this month as well hopefully if im not busy.

Update on Seasme's progress. Decided to change up the gameplay formula to be a bit similar to that of DrKelexo's Battle Monster characters with a twist of some RPG mechanics from Earthbound 2. While the earthbound portion isnt presented in the screenshots it'll be shown at a later date.

Decide to return back to Houki Gonjou since shes been sitting in the oven too long and i can probably finish her up once i sort things out. Also please check back to the first post as it has been updated with some new projects.

Im gettin' worse at maintain these update posts lol. Anyways, ive been working on Pope on the side for a bit and hes almost done. I hopefully plan to release him this month so, heres a video of his current progress. If you have any ideas i can possibly toss into his concept that also would be helpful.

I havent updated my topic in like awhile but im still doin' stuff. Anyways, Houki's progress is good. Shes almost complete all she needs is her lvl 3 and AI which hopefully i may be able to complete soon possibly this week.
