This means that a Mortal Kombat Scorpion as example can have multiple costumes, to make him also look like Mortal Kombat 4 Scorpion as example?

Can the costumes be choosen in the character select screen via pressing a specific button or choosing them from a list like in Dead or Alive and will there be a limit of costumes per character ?

The costume select is already featured. I think he means customization in regard to adding parts to the character similar to tekken's customization.

Having a costum part editor is a nice Idea, but I have some questions.

1. If I make a game with chars using Weapons like Swords, I could probably use the Part Editor to give my chars different weapons instead of costume parts, as long the weapons are separate Models and not a part of the Charmodel right?

2. Are there any plans to make the costume parts selectable ingame and not only in the Editor, maybe something like I add the Parts in the Game but the player has to unlock the parts first tu use them or something like that?^^

A1. Right. If you make sword or any like weapons separete from body and set model by setting file, you can use it to other character model anything you like. If merge weapon with body, it cannot separate.
Basically I recommend separate all parts first and combine in the game.

A2. I have no plan to provide other way to edit. EF-12 is the tool, not "Edit game" so all specifications are similar with studio tool.

hi, any plan to suppor C4d Files? (Cinema4D Files)
[/quote]

We have no plan but 3ds Max user create models through other tool. (Create Aino Heart)
>create model by Max
>>export fbx to Softimage modtool
>>>set material on Modtool and export to EF-12

Cinema4D may possilble same as 3ds Max (I can't guarantee)

yeah, I know we can export to fbx, but a straight conversion from C4d would be awesome.

Using KFM as an example, this is pretty much what I'm aiming for: a low poly "toon styled" cel-shading. Still working on getting renders exactly right though. I'll have the rest of the body finished sometime soon (because I never quite have enough free time).

For anyone just starting, it's best to start with low poly stuff (of course). It really helps set the foundation of learning basic shapes so that more advanced shapes are easier to work with (like drawing). Also, rigging is much easier when there's less polygons to worry about

I recomend getting this programa, Sculptris http://pixologic.com/sculptris/ , it's free and from the guys who make zbrush, the only drawback it's that you need a more or less powerful machine and that it pretty much works with a digital tablet for you pc. but with it you can pretty much "paint" and "Draw" to sculpt and bring your character to blender

Almost a year, wow.

I'm committing more time to EF-12. Low-poly dummy model I made.  Will study the EF-12 docs for the next who knows how long, so hopefully I can get it in playable form sometime soon.

Awh man, Just finished creating a few costumes, If I'd have seen this sooner I'd have just created the parts separately for the roster.
I suppose this means I'll be making an awesome straw hat though.
Can't have a costume edit without one. ^^
