I am also curious as I haven't seen it done before and couldn't find how to do it myself but how do you rename the joystick inputs as you did in your version with the HP/LP and so on, since by default it's usually just X,Y,Z/A,B,C

I used keymenu.itemname to do it, which is done in System.def in the Option Info.

I was playing through arcade mode as Ryu and for some reason when Akuma and I grabbed each other at the same time it kept spawning small versions of him, it happened a few times during the match. I haven't altered anything in the game myself, so I don't know if anyone else encountered this. It's a pretty fun time, I do have to ask just out of curiosity why did you pick portraits from multiple sources instead of a more consistent look? Not that it's bad just wondering why.

That's most likely a missing helper issue. It should be fixed for the next update, but I can't for the life of me get Throw Escapes in Training Mode.

But why is Blanka on the varying quality list when Karma's Blanka is actually very good? I'd put him in the first list.

He was originally in that spot, but Karma doesn't think too highly of him nowadays to put it lightly...

I mainly came to report one issue with Haohmaru, but after more testing, I got further gripes.

1. You should have the Slash FX on his Air Attacks disappear when he hits the ground, as it leads to this if it comes out just before he hits the ground:

2. This is pointed out by someone else (which kinda motivated this feedback posting), but it seems like Heavy Senpuu Retsuzan doesn't cause Invalid like the Light version, resulting in this loop: https://streamable.com/4tb5a5
Gonna assume it's an oversight.
3. Two suggestions for Kougetsuzan: 1. Have more forward movement with longer hitboxes on the Heavy Variant so it has a better chance of connecting with every hit when P2 isn't right up close. 2. Making the Light variant just the jumping slash so that it's faster, and is safer seeing that it only does 1 hit.
4. I'm kinda surprised to see that Resshinzan doesn't OTG, the Force Break version at least...
5. The Big Slash Hitsparks on the likes of Shippusen and Hadansen could benefit from further transparency.
6. I also think the Issen Slash during his Astral Heat could be horizontally flipped to match the animation's slash. The specific slash could also use a stronger sound.
7. My last nitpick would be that his voice lines could do with a slight volume raise.

I think he's passable, but a boost in polish would suit him nicely.

It's supposed to be a combo super, it really can't do much else besides that. It's a way for Gief to get extra dmg with resources. I prefer him staying grounded since I associate the upward lariat super with Mech Gief.

When I said Cyclone Lariat I meant the move from SF5 and 6, not the MvC Siberian Blizzard.

Then I would maybe suggest giving quarter circle supers a little bit more command time, mainly so you don't end up getting Iron Body instead.

I was referring to when they actually hit the ground and the bounce after it. You could try adding more time to the landing frame to give the explosion more time before the hop back.

The Push Block issue was probably the fault of my keyboard layout. Anyways, I think you could move the FX forward a bit, in front of the elbow would work nicely.

The FX being solid CPS2 FX is also a lil' jarring. There should be a hi-res version of it somewhere in the wild.

Back-to-Back releasing today, eyy? I gave this man a shot as well, and I also have things to say:

1. For the sake of ease-of-access, why not have Recovery use more punch button combinations than just LP+MP?
2. Unlisted moves in the Readme include his F+HP Elbow Drop and the Air Screw Piledriver. Push Block is also listed which he seems to not have.
3. Skull Breaker has him play a 2nd charge voice clip before punching. It's subtle but I just can't unhear it after noticing it.
4. Speaking of the Elbow Drop, it feels almost useless outside of it being a knockdown overhead because the range isn't so good, it's super unsafe, and when you try to go for it normally you usually end up with a proximity throw instead.
5. Red Cyclone is pretty dodgy. It's the only super you can Lvl.2 Cancel but you can't get any real use out of it because its behaviour because P2 is usually knocked too far away to get hit or be in range for something. My best suggestion would be making it behave more like Cyclone Lariat instead as opposed to knocking P2 left and right like Shinkuu Tatsumaki.
6. On the topic of Red Cyclone, is it intentional that you can't get Russian Skies (Aerial Russian Slam) after it? I ask because of it launching P2 upwards.
7. For the sake of consistency, why not have his Atomic Busters end with a Backdash after the SPDs like the normal SPD does?
8. Ultra Atomic Buster seems a bit too superior to Final Atomic Buster LVL3, being a dash with more range, and more damage. You could perhaps make it so it's only available during Desperation, so it's kinda like an SF6 CA. It could also use a bit more bounce on the Final SPD to go along with the extra large explosion.
9. Lastly, the Super Afterimages are a bit too solid for my taste.

That's what I've got for now. I don't think he the definitive Gief but he's potential-having and I like the inclusion of modern stuff like his Chargeable HP. AI seems pretty alright too.
I didn't expect multiple releases from you today, and I wonder what else you'll surprise us with.

Haven't noticed any extreme flaws, though I have nitpicks and suggestions:
1. For the sake of comfort, you should make it so his Blowback can be done while crouching.
2. Tiger Bait using his King's Clutch grab anim make it seem more like an Anti-Air grab. I'd personally use the Guard anim instead.
3. EX Tiger Bait could also benefit from faster startup.
4. Angry Scar could make the Uppercut flaming like MAX Tiger Genocide for added flair.
5. MAX Supers could do with a unique Superpause sound.
6. Exceeds could maybe be done with 2 Attack Buttons instead of 1.
7. Speaking of the Exceed, I think the flash on the last hit of the projectile could be toned down so it doesn't overlap the explosion too much.

He's pretty sleek, though, and is probably gonna be a definite choice when I go about doing a personal KOF roster which is unlikely but still...

Edit: Damage Scaling is also somewhat iffy. For example, here's a combo featuring Angry Scar cancelling into MAX Super then an Uppercut: https://streamable.com/fxpe2d

Did a bit of a quick enhancement to the Hi-Res SF3 Hadouken you might've come across in a PotS Ryu or two. I found this specific FX in Victorys' version.

Did a lil' update with slight adjustments today:
- Evil Shoryuken damage adjusted.
- Heavy Shakunetsu Hadouken damage decreased.
- Messatsu Goshoryu damage adjusted and juggling improved for MAX version.
- Metsu Hadouken has less stun time.


If you guys find any things that's still funny about him, lemme know.

The wishlists have come flying through haven't they? Maybe I'll round up the total characters mentioned and decide my picks from there.
I already know what the first char's gonna be and I'm not spoiling it, but I'm taking it easy for a bit before I tackle her (that's a hint I guess).


Just a heads-up, I tried to change Sagat's AI, mainly so that it properly blocks projectiles and not run into them, but I just ended up making him dumber as he'd end up stuck on the opposite side just blocking your projectile spam and barely doing anything to counteract it.
So unless I manage to find the secret sauce that makes him act smart in this scenario, he's sadly gonna stay as is...
