I believe you misspelled obvious there. also, didn't check, but I guess the "message popup" is just an absolute or fixed positioned div
Somebody has dumped the "random topic" ... who is it? Is it you Val? And why? Should I put it back? Am I boring with my questions?

No, most probably. Because it was too long. No. No.Soliduma said, August 31, 2005, 11:52:35 pmBetter make a pop-up window that tells the n00bs to read the forum rules. Maybe the first time they enter a board? or the first time they log on?The first time they register, there is already a bunch of rules they... never read.
i think that the message at the top of the page saying that guest can see the request forum is a invitation to leechers to come......edit: before anyone jokes about my message, i get to this forum before that happened...
heres an idea:imlpement some sort of "TOS"-like registration of sorts(as in what is said)instance. when someone is signing up, they are presented with a TOS that, instead of displaying terms of usage, etc) it displays the rules of the forum, and the most important ones in bold. this way, if someone says "Oh, i didn't know" we can blame it on them for not fully reading it before registering..meh?
what's TOS and meh??, i think that's a great idea, i think also that there should be a sticky with abreviations for those ones (like me) that doens't know what they mean or doesn't have the english skills to figure out what they mean.
Lucia said, September 01, 2005, 10:42:19 pmWhich probably wasn't read, either.Wouldn't happen if we forced newbs to sign said TOS with their blood. Like I always recommended.
I found out a feature that might be usefull.http://mods.simplemachines.org/index.php?mod=149it is a doublepost button.basically, everytime a member double post you click this and the post are automatically merge, and it "displays" even the date of the older post.
