Time to get a decent stick and learn how to play on one.


If you're settled on being a pad player, though, I'd get a Hori pad. I hear those are great.

They are. I prefer using the Pokken Tournament controller for retro gaming over my actual SNES or NES controllers.

Sticks have always been out of my price range sadly. Which urks me cause I prefer em.

Hori's pad is pretty reasonably priced so I'll try and snag it when I can (after I get another DS4 for other games I have).

Only thing stopping me from buying one, quality sticks are just too expensive. I mean yeah the cheap ones are priced reasonably well, but I hear so many stories about how easily they break. :/

Custom building one with a PS360+ PCB is probably less expensive. The most expensive part is the case itself, unless you don't mind having one of these:








Personally I've always wanted to make a fightstick out of the cardboard box Vans's old SCV stick came in.

I want to make a fight stick that plugs into my R.O.B. ala the Gyromite or Stack Up set. Bonus points if I get disqualified mid-tournament because he activates and starts moving around.

I just got a Quanba Q4 black RAF actually, cost me 200 dollars in total. Wondering how long it will take to get good with it. (Don't mind having to relearn things however, its a chance to reinvent my playing style, I was using a keyboard and an xbox 360 controller before)

I've had a Q4 RAF for at least 3 years and I'm still no good with it. It varies from person-to-person but chances are you sunk two hundo on something that's going to collect dust in your closet/basement/attic.
