kakkoii superhero said, July 28, 2017, 06:07:24 amfor photoshop, to sizeup drawing or pixelart I use "alienskin blowup" addon plugin, it has Much better scaling algorithm than anything photoshop has to offer. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll look into it soon enough.
Redid her face and played around w/ the size. It's about as close as I can get to the model's face. Everything in red is what else I need to fix.Shouod be done by the end of the next week.Just a little note: her face isn't supposed to face the screen directly, it actually tilts to the side a little bit.

Hatter said, July 28, 2017, 03:23:04 amI would have answered you earlier Ned, but by the time you asked I was fast asleep. And by the time I saw it, I was at work.Anyways, the links above detail the Grayscale method, but I differed in my approach in three things:1) Scaling to 200% (rather than 500%)2) Using the Bicubic Sharper interpolation when downsizing (he used Billinear)3) Using a Posterize adjustment layer at 4 colors rather than using Index mode. (useful tip courtesy of balmsold).Work in progress. Also, thanks Shin.Don't worry, no problem! And thanks for taking the time to explain!
I wanted to finish it this week, but I didn't. :|Also working on some commission related stuff for Mr. Karate JKA, no1wammy and Zemilia, will try to show soon or whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present an in-progress first look of how Sora will look in a MUGEN near you, in about a few years or so:I worked off of Likiji's sprite (thanks bud :]). I chose to simplify certain things, but so far how does this look? I have a good idea about how I should animate this, but I'm probably going to die in the process. T_T
Its looking so clean so far Hatter said, August 14, 2017, 03:25:36 amI worked off of Likiji's sprite (thanks bud :]).
I would also make him hold the keyblade a bit lower to the ground, like he does in the games. Right now it kinda looks like he's leaning forward a bit strangely.
Well, I mean:Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyThis was the screenshot that was used, and he kinda looks like he's leaning forward anyways. Probably going to keep it like this... for now at least.
Commission crud. It's Noel Vermillion from BlazBlue in SSF2 style. Link by StevenB, used for style reference, first of 8 (or 9) sprites that will be done in this style (same character for all).
Hmmmm, that doesnt really feel "ssf2" to meshe looks way to tall, eyes dont seem to be ssf2ish i think there is too much of the legs aswell
^ taking that into account, I changed the face to match w/ Link's. Legs are going to stay as they are though:1/9.Also:bleh
If you keep the legs the same it'll be way bigger than the average ssf2 sprite which isn't really being accurate
Walruslui said, August 19, 2017, 09:19:25 pmIf you keep the legs the same it'll be way bigger than the average ssf2 sprite which isn't really being accurateZemilia was fine with the legs the way they are, so whether it is or isn't, legs are staying as is.
So I'm pretty much back to DBZ All-Stars semi full-time. And a bunch of other things too... semi full-time..If you're wondering about the gun-fire FX in the 2nd one, well, me and Zemilia talked about it and this is kind of the FX he wanted (blurry af, but you should still be able to see it):Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyJust so that no one is confused or anything.

The shading, the blue thing that looks like some sort of giant finger. Also, WalursLuis may actually have a point for once, and I believe he is getting better too. But you on the other hand. So basically you don't give a shit, and don't bother trying. , Ok so Zemilia is cool with it, but for a commissioned work that is weak, by no means that is SSF2 "style". Your sprite is ok, but your attitude sticks out like a sore potato. If I had to give a recommendation for a commissioner, its certainly not you.
To be fair it can mean both, and it's certainly more commonly associated with Streets. Easy to get confused. That doesn't excuse the snarky post though.
Alright, point taken there. I'd at least have thought that Steven's Link sprite would indicate what kind of sprite it is, but hey, I guess I was wrong there as well.
Yea, Many people do mistake it for Super Street Fighter 2To the point where i make jokes outta itIori730 said, September 07, 2017, 08:40:17 pmIf I had to give a recommendation for a commissioner, its certainly not you.I get that you might be angry cause you thought it was Street fighter and not Smash Flash, but saying something like that is rather dickish, like one quick google search for "SSF2" and all you will see is super smash flash 2
