So, what is a "REVival 2"?
It's basically a sequel to a dumb compilation I made years ago, but now with universal mechanics and made from the ground up. It's a project i've had in mind for years, but never really fully realized until recently thanks to my Wesker release. The full game will be on IKEMEN, but for now i'm doing MUGEN releases to test the waters and build something from (plus to get people to try it without hitting them with a whole ass build, especially since I haven't made a new version since like, 2016 or something).
What mechanics?
It's a 4 button (with 1 button being a dash shortcut and another being a "ACT" button) inspired by many different fighting games like the vs. Series, anime, and more. The "REV" mechanics are:

.R-ACT (Rabid Activation) - 6 + ACT (Ground Only) + Buffs damage + Buffs ground and air dash + No hitstun scaling - No meter gain .E-ACT (Evasive Activation) - 4 + ACT (Ground Only) + Buffs pushblock + Enables life-gaining parry + Burst option (Air OK) (JUST ACT Button) - Burst costs health - Nerfs damage - No meter gain .V-ACT (Varied Activation) - ACT (Ground Only) + New and unique move(s) and/or tools + Meter gain - Hitstun scaling still applies

I agree, there hasn't really been anything much for him since. I hope it comes out decent at least :p
OK, Thanks forum/discord for the awesome colors ya sent me! There's a bunch on this char, so here's a quick run down of all of em:

Here's what it currently does:

- Faster teleport start up - new bloody spear projectile. Takes away health from you, but when it hits it depletes some of P2's meter. - Flies surround you and hit the opponent when you press a normal. - You can cancel out the Ax special and use the projectile faster (not well demonstrated here but trust me, it's a lot faster).
And lastly, just coded his super (Lvl.1). here's what it looks like:

Now I know it seems pretty damn soon, especially since I just released Lord Ravenous, but that's what happens when you have things on the shelf for so long and have awful confidence. As I work on said confidence, I got a pal template for ya ,as well as a lil' combo thingy. In all seriousness though, Gknux is also working on a Sonic and I'm just down to see what move sets you guys each come up with. Sonic offers a lot of versatility when a lot of his actions involve curling up into a ball.

I hope REV 2 sonic is ok if released. I basically kept many of his CvTW elements but with new features and adjustments to fit this game, as well as some other ideas from some sonic games n stuff. He'll be rushdown heavy with some mix up ideas (at least thats how I see it for now, who knows what will happen...)

Captain Jose is a separate thing all together. Who knows if I'll add him to the project or not (or even get to finish him... we can only hope).

He's coming along pretty fast (fittingly so), though I suppose it helps that you're basing him heavily off the CvtW version.
Also, I'm not sure when you plan to finish her but I decided to do some palettes for Jill. I hope to finish them up soon!

Ok so... I always wanted to make an MK char, right? But sprite wise, I reaaaally don't have a lot to work with unless I say fuck it and use the original digitized style. So i ask... ya'll ok with it? With this, I don't have to just be stuck making Sean Altly ninjas. It also allows me to be more open with char possibilities.
Here's some rough ideas I did for the homie jax.

Ideas:
Goals/Hope I guess: - Some cool juggles with dial-a-combos into specials - good damage - Solid mix of MK-esq stuff in anime/traditional fighter format - Using whatever new assets brought by crazy Mugen MK ppl - Decent pressure, but open if not careful
Quirks n shit: - Jabs work like Old MK - Close range normals allow MK3 like dial-a-combos - Neutral j. LK is a different normal. On hit or block, you can immediately cancel to your dial-a-combo
Specials: - Ground pound special (ground) (an otg) - Air grab special (air ok) (can start combos) - Superman punch special (ground) - MK2 Special (the projectile out of his arms) (air ok) - blockable CMD grab (GOTCHYA!) (ground) (combo ender)
V ACT (Hot Arms from MK 11) - Does his pose and sparks fly off the hands. - Allows the following: - More dmg on punch related moves (+15 dmg universally) - more hitstun/juggle potential on punch related moves (+5 frames universally) - New special (the robo arms special from 3d mk games) (Light = Stun? | Heavy = Wallbounce?) - Punches are more plus on block(?) - His MK3 Missile super shoots 2 instead of one
Supers: - MK3 Missle (1 without V-Act) (lvl.1) - MK2 head Smash (short range but unblockable with stun) (lvl.1) (crushing blow/Xray effect maybe?) - MK3 Giant Steps (Step + Shockwave hit) (lvl.3) - MK3 CHOP CHOP Fatality (lvl.3?)
Don't worry, Sonic will happen first. I was sick so couldn't really do a lot. I just gotta do his level 3 supers, new sounds, and color separate him. Oh, and uhh... test him some more..

I tried something.... really dumb, and here's the results. I tried my BEST to make sense of the skin colors, I swear, MK sprites make me go fucking crazy. Anyways, I hope this is worth it. So does it work? if so, I can make a better template in the future, but here's this currently.
Fair warning: You MAY notice a sort of "mark" where his stomach is, below one of his arms. I have NO idea what that is either, it's not part of anything he has (not the arms, not the belt, just there). These sprites honestly have weird messes I don't understand either, so sorry in advance about that.

In case ya wanted to know why so quiet, been learning (and busting my ass) to animate for something special. Meanwhile, I haven't done REV 2 stuff in forever and I guess I can use a little MUGEN coding warm up and actually finish it.
