Was mainly focusing on the Normal versions, but I'll get them done.You might wanna consider leaving out the extra SFF for filesize reasons since it's just different portraits, putting them as extras in the main SFF, unless there's sprite differences I missed.Knuckles8864 said, August 26, 2020, 09:54:21 amAs for CapCom, I haven't made any real progress yet. And as for Yamazaki....Is this long enough for the full animation to go?I think the Yama anim is fine as it is in terms of length.

I'll try to get rid of normal Iori's sprites there so it's not such a total filesize issue.
I'm having this odd issue with Iori's EX/XIV mode when trying to use Jmorphman's Kyo against him:"Error message: State machine stuck in loop (stopped after 2500 loops): 197 for Kyo KusanagiCheck your states for infinite ChangeState loops."The normal & Orochi modes work fine, so i'm not really sure what's going on.

I'll take a look at it.Edit: There's a couple of lines in Jmorphman's Kyo I forgot to mention to change.Change this:trigger1 = Enemy, Name = "Iori Yagami" && Enemy, AuthorName = "Knuckles8864" && Enemy, var(40)To This:trigger1 = Enemy, Name = "Iori Yagami" && Enemy, AuthorName = "Knuckles8864" && Enemy, var(40) = 1
I looked in Jmorph's Kyo, but the line showed up as:trigger5 = Enemy, Name = "Iori Yagami" && Enemy, AuthorName = "Knuckles8864" && Enemy, var(40) != 1
Sorry for double-post, but I'd like an opinion.Which hits for Yamazaki's Freak-Out Fist is better?For reference, 9:08, and at 21:34 in the video.

Knuckles8864 said, August 31, 2020, 09:33:40 pmDid you re-download Kyo? It might be not up to date or something.I believe it's the most recent version, but i'll try re-downloading and see if the states change.Knuckles8864 said, September 02, 2020, 04:16:00 pmWhich hits for Yamazaki's Freak-Out Fist is better?I'd personally say 2003 would be better.The 2002 one does look more like an aggressive "level 3" type move with the extra hits,But i think having it do less hits like 2003 would be better for balancing & damage scaling purposes.
Maybe it's just me, but Yamazaki's crouch kicks are odd.He briefly spins around in a split frame after he swings his crouch kicks.
Both? 2002 version - Definitely looks more aggressive...2003 version - Looks less aggressive but his laugh is PSYCHOTIC!Therefore, I recommend you use the aggression from 2002 and use his psychotic laugh from 2003. I was thinking 2003 but Yamazaki is a crazy motherfucker.
I like the amount of hits that the 2002 version has, but I also genuinely like how more spaced out the hits are with 2003's variant. Also yes, the laugh is much better in 2003.
Knuckles8864 said, August 31, 2020, 09:33:40 pmDid you re-download Kyo? It might be not up to date or something.Alright, i finally got around to redownloading Kyo, & i did the var(40) = 1 thing like you suggested,& now the intro works perfectly. Thank you very much for the help. By the way, how's Yamazaki & the Iori beta coming along?
Working on Yamazaki. Having some trouble with Freak-Out Fist at the moment.The issue... well, how do I put this... is the biting of the neck. You see, some characters' liedowns are facing on their backs, and some are facing on their bellies (EX. Yamazaki and Demitri for example.), and... I have a quick solution of that, but the end result makes Yamazaki throw them the other way.For example, I don't like how it looks like Yamazaki's aiming for a.... certain area here.Now, normally, Demitri would be facing the other way, but because of the code I currently have, he's forced to face this way.I might need to make a list on who's lying down on their belly for this to work.Edit: Also, I found a way to make it so you can combo from EX Serpent Slash into Drill. More on that later.

More on that later.Yes, I would recommand using a list.Even if it's never 100% working because of names variation.I used something like that for a custom win pose in my early mugen days back in the early 2000.Perhaps other member can recommand some other solution.If it was a full game it would make it really easier.BTW good progress!
Hello all. I hope you're all doing well.Sorry for not updating for a while. I kind of needed a break from MUGEN, but I hopefully a Yamazaki update can help out here.What's new here, you ask? Well....-Freak-Out Fist is... well, out, and in beta. For now, it's a grab super, it might be updated to be one where he stabs his opponent with his knife first, then do as normal. Also, still debating on how to approach the hits before the final throw. Also, the sprites still need some work.-Drill's been updated for more grunts, effects, usage of sprites. Also, Lvl. 2 Slam move looks more accurate and less awkward than it did before. Secret input from KoF 98 UM is done. To do it, you need to press all three punch buttons while having 1 bar. (So, it's 1 for Lvl.1 Drill, then another 1 for the input, and then 2 for Lvl. 2 Drill and then 1 more for the input.)\-Speaking of Drill, you can combo into Drill from EX Serpent Slash.-Some bug fixes, like finally getting Fight of Tempering's one knockdown bug fixed.Some things to do:-Need the other version of EX Serpent Slash, where Yamazaki slashes bottom, middle, then up.-Decide which version of Guillotine is better, CvS2 where's it's one hit (thanks to KarmaChameleon for that) or KoF where it's two hits before the slam down.-Possible rework on Pit Viper (I'm not sure if I want to add the poison effect from KoF XIV)-Fix a glitch on Freak-Out Fist, where some opponents face away from Yamazaki (I want the bite to feel like a real pain in the neck (heh heh)), and they fly the other way from him.Hope you guys enjoy and have a glorious day.
Good stuff, Knuckles.Though i think Freak Out Fist throws the opponent in the wrong direction.At least, that's what it did for me.I fixed it by changing the VelSet from -6 to just 6.
I did point that out at the glitch, as I'm trying to make many characters face the opposite way (head facing Yamazaki's feet). Example Yamazaki himself and Demitri. I'll try to make a list of who lays down facing the opposite while others face laying belly side and I'll fix it from there.But thank you for the solution to it. I'll put it in.
