Hiya everyone! 087-B here, creator of this project!

Now I'm sure most of you are wondering what the heck you're looking at -- and no, I promise this is not a shameless ripoff of VS Style Debuts well kinda b-but instead my own original project! Totally! Yep yep!

LEGACY AGE OF HEROES is a conversion project that takes several MUGEN characters and converts them to an accurate MARVEL VS CAPCOM 2 playstyle! This project uses the template created by Darkwolf-13  and Lui for their conversion project, but since that is long dead and nobody else has tried a project like this since (at least, not one of this magnitude), I decided to take the chance to finally give back to this amazing community by making some high quality, fun as hell characters for everyone to play with!

The goal of this project is to build so many characters in this style that there's a little bit of something for everyone! As many characters as possible, even ones that have already existed in the MvC series! Why? To add onto them and make them even better than they already were!

Or balance and nerf them because you're sick of losing over and over to MSP teams in MvC2! :D
I totally harbor no resentment towards top tier players hahahahahaha.

There's currently no end in sight for this project, and I don't intend on stopping until I've done at least one hundred characters! And that's a promise you all can hold me to!

With that in mind, please be warned... these characters take time to make, but even then they are not perfect. Nothing's perfect! There's bound to be bugs and issues, etc. and I urge you to calmly alert me of these problems so I may address them ASAP. I am a (mostly) one man band in this project, aside from some occasional advice from JJkoolaid, who edited the template and inspired me to revamp this project, and taught me what I know. But overall, I'm doing this all on my own and it's not easy. So with that in mind, thank you for understanding!

Ahh thank you! I've had this project in mind for months but I was never fully able to get it off the ground. Now that it's finally launched, I feel super hyped! I've actually been uploading edits to Mugen Archive for about a year now before joining here, but all of those edits were fairly minor. This is my first time actually dabbling in building a character, and I feel proud of my first attempt!

So thank you for the nice words and the support, it means way more than I can express!!

Well Morrigan and Lilith were already made in this style (using DivineWolf’s versions as bases) by my friend JJ. So it felt a bit redundant to want to tackle them when they’d turn out basically the same. ^_^;

As for Felicia and Akuma... yeah they’re coming! I forgot to add them to the list is all... ^_^;

I’ve considered it... and I might try! I’ve never coded tag before so it’s not something I’m familiar with. And I think if I DO end up coding it, I’ll make it a separate option for people. You can either use the tag DEF file, or use the normal one to disable it! But I’m really not sure yet. I’m not skilled enough to code tag and I know if I try there will be too many bugs to count. XD

I'm excited to see this project come into life! I like the fact that there are various chars that'll be added to the roster. Sounds like an epic/huge game lol (about 50GB lol just kidding). Also man if you plan to have any of the DBZ EB chars transform, ie: My Vegeta, feel free to use my code from him... I'd like to see a DBZ EB char that can transform with MVC2 Playstyle. I'll be definitely keeping an eye on this.

Hello everyone, bit of a mini update.

My laptop snapped in half and I’m unable to use it. So for the time being my MUGEN days are on hold since all of my WIPs are stored on that computer and since it’s busted I have no way of getting those files until it’s repaired.

I thought I’d have it repaired by now but clearly it’s going to take a while.

I’ll see to it I get something done and able to be released soon once it’s completed...

Out of the options, I voted Phoenix since it’d be cool to have both Jean and Phoenix as an option.

There’s plenty of good Superman options in Mugen for now.. I’d rather see somebody like Martian Manhunter some love. There’s a really good sprite set within the efroncetes or whatever his name was (MMV version) that could benefit from a complete coding overhaul.

Ahh that makes sense.

Yeah I’d need to have a new logo made then. When I started this project I never actually had MVC tagged on, it was always just Legacy Age of Heroes. XP

After my latest two releases, I'm gonna be taking a break to focus on my personal affairs. I'm a bit exhausted and have no new ideas for now and I've spent most of this month coding. XP

I'll try and be back sometime in May, but for now, I need a good month worth of sleep. XD

Glad you like her dude! I'm really proud of her gameplay. And she DOES have a few bugs, but I'm working on a patch later today.

EVERY CHARACTER HAS BEEN UPDATED!

... mostly. XD

My Invisible Woman file got corrupted so I'll have to redo that one. I only just discovered it after I uploaded. So, aside from her, every other character I've released has been updated, containing an assortment of bug fixes, and for some, a few new features!

This project that you’re doing is so AWESOME!!!!! I’ve just got into the mugen world (due to the stay home order). I’m not that savvy with most of this yet but this forum is great. I’ve always wanted a game with a crossover type roster (which I tried and failed miserably at lol). Just imagine a game with MVC2 style fluid, harmonious with characters from Marvel, Capcom, Street Fighter, DC, Dragon Ball Z, SNK, Tekken, and Mortal Kombat. Keep up the great work you’re doing!!!!!!

Thank you so much for the kind words!!! I appreciate it, and I'm glad that I've been able to impress a CVS fan!

I guess I'm the opposite... I've never really been able to enjoy CVS/POTS style characters. I've always preferred MVC style, so it's what I wanted to make! That and I wanted to give back to the community for being so awesome. ^_^

I'm glad you want to try this out, even if it's not the gameplay style you're used to! That means a lot!! This project is super big, and I'm a very ambitious person, so I hope it all goes well! I hope you enjoy what I've made and I really hope you stick around with the project!!

(And, yes, I've thought a lot about Spawn. ;) )

Okay, why do none of your characters have damage dampeners? The amount of damage they do in a single combo is kind of ridiculous. Sabo can do 75 percent with just 2 bars from a single basic super combo

different games do this differently, and the way these characters should handle it should be the more normals or specials you use, the more the dampening is applied, lowering your atk so that it doesn't do ludicrous amounts of damage. Supers can be unaffected by this.

beautiful, beautiful work, like i said before i'm really digging this gameplay, and leon wise, may i suggest to do some tweaks on leon's shooting style? why not a forward and air shoot changing weapons (pistol, shotgun) instead of the downshot or even better, why not using an automatic weapong like the tmp from re4 or the ak from re6, also why not using some anti air grenades?? (fire,explosive,stun/ice), you should give a look to wou's leon, besides that i'm loving this and can't wait to see more of it congratulations!!

I appreciate the support! But as I've said before on the other website, I can't do what is not possible. If the sprites don't already exist, then I can't make new stuff. And, I'm not an artist so I have no intention of trying to create any new sprites. :P

I'm glad you have interest but it's just not something I'm capable of doing. ^_^

I’ll check out Volnutt! Never actually tried any previous version. Also still awaiting some of those comic chars on the first page! Definitely Silver Surfer and Luke Cage. Hopefully Martian Manhunter is apart of your DC list. There’s some good sprites on the efrencortes version but the coding sucks. Same with the versions of Beast Boy and Raven out there.

But yeah gonna check out Volnutt. Also is that Zero you’re about to release using the sprites from the version where some disappear?

Glad you’re hyped, and don’t worry. Those characters may be on my list. ;)

Regarding Zero, the version I used of him had no missing sprites and I made sure all his animations were finished. As far as I’m aware with all the testing I’ve done he’s not missing any sprites.

So, uh, howdy! New update.

First, I dropped three new characters -- Namor, Mizuchi, and Twelve, which you can find over here (https://mugenguild.com/forum/topics/three-new-releases-legacy-age-heroes-wave-2-1140-190994.0.html).

That link takes you to the Wave Two page, which is how I'll be releasing characters from now on! Bundling them on collection threads. Wave Two isn't done yet, though -- ten characters left to go before the Wishlist is over!

So uh... yeah. :D

Also Zero is out too I guess lol

Sorry for the lackluster post I'm not quite sure how to properly make this transition.
