Playing Mana Khemia 2 now. I say, this is the one game I will never EVER put on English voices. I've had no problem with the VAs of NISA's other games but what they did here was beyond godawful not bec. of the awful voices but bec. of the utterly retarded voice direction.

Raze has Yuri Lowenthal's asshole-type voice. Ulrika has a horribly fake Texan accent. Whim's screeches are ear rape. But the worst offender is Pepperoni's high-pitched queer fag voice. He went from big fairy with a child-like personality to a big flaming fag. THEY COMPLETELY MISSED THE EFFIN POINT!!!!!! Luckily Pepperoni has Jurota Kosugi's deep and smexy voice in the Japanese dub.

Anyway, other complaints would be the incredibly small text. They're very unreadable even in a 21 inch TV. They could have at least bolded them so they can be seen easily. Also the game's menu interface is needlessly complicated compared to MK1. The game's sprites are also smaller than in MK1.
I am complaing about the text too, but I got used to it and can see fine after about 5 hours of gameplay.

Overall, Mana Khemia 2 is a fun game, I'm in love with it.

I haven't played MK1, I wanted to. But I couldn't find MK selling anywhere around here :/ .

I was shocked that the principal was a handsome dude in MK1.

He was quite weak-willed and a coward back then. That's why it was quite a surprise to see him becoming the principal even when he's still the same person as before. :P

My friend was complaining about his mustache. He told me people like that can't have that mustache.

How was the red-headed, white shirt teacher like in his school days? The reviews aren't clear anyway, even if I looked up myself.

1. What exactly was his reason why he can't have a mustache? Just bec. he was clean and looked like a bishi when he was young?

2. You mean Tony? He was part of MK1's goldfish poop gang as in sub-bosses played for laughs. They were actually just two of them, him and Rene. Why she didn't come back in MK2 though, I have no idea. Why him and Flay are always fighting is because they were the two that most often exchanged insults when the party meets them. He was actually the magic user between him and Rene, that's why he became the alchemy teacher in MK2.

Oh I see.

I believe Renee is now Tony's wife, as it was mentioned in some part of the story that he is married and didn't meet his wife for 3 years.

My friend said a useless loser like that does not deserve a mustache like that. He never touched Mana Khemia before.

I don't see what he thinks is the importance of facial hair since it's just something people get when they grow old.

In MK1 Zeppel had an important albeit minor role. He's the one who asked the main char. to join the academy, he's also his homeroom teacher and had some roles in the main story (he's one of the few people who knew about the main character's origin).

Too bad MK2 is one of the last PS2 titles announced. Later AI and MK games have to be in PS3/PSP.
Main reason for playing MK is Nikki.
I got one of my friends to help buy me MK1 (if his place has game shops that sell it), he lives in Penang, which is quite a distance away. If he's (I am) lucky, I'll be able to play MK.

Just finished Raze's chapters. I had to beat the boss 5 times to get everyone's endings. X_X

I have yet to touch Pokemon Pearl and Diamond, I don't have an NDS.
