Hey paisanos!

Here is some animations from Krillin, now i can share them since hes no longer a secret to everybody!
Im using Extreme butoden Krillin as reference and base, giving him more frames when needed, and adding new moves and such:

The general idea is to make Krillin a charge character, with some mobility based specials.
As always ideas and suggestion are welcomed, even thou we have figured already most of it.
Il would let the coder announce himself since im not sure if he wants to let you guys know right now.

Basically my rationale was:

  • We don't have a charge character.
  • Destructo Disc looks *kinda* like a Sonic Boom.
Bam, charge character :P

It's not going to be as arbitrary as that though. His basics are being built around it as well, so it should be exciting!

It's really awesome to see my fav earthling being made! He looks fantastic! But...I can´t use charge characters at all, I don't have the skill, maybe you could add an option for alt commands in the config?

That'd break the character making him unbalanced. Like giving Guile rotate commands. However!... *saves that for Jango

But...I can´t use charge characters at all, I don't have the skill

It's not really skill, but knowing to buffer the charge motions during other moves.

Oh, I want a diagram. I fucking love diagrams.

Theres no point making promises about any of that until we got a way around testing that in game. We will see when it happens wht makes more sense.

The important is that he ends up balanced.

Great sprites Daeron, if you could change it a bit wearing boots and a inner blue t-shirt could look better, check the pic down below, I also think this is the best looking Krillin, just my thougths.

Daeron, please, fix the issue with banding in your sprites. Everything else about your sprites is perfect and on point, but the banding always ruins that perfection in your work, as it ruins the smoothness in a portion of the sprites showcased in there-- Gotenks also heavily suffered from this banding problem. It's not even that hard to fix it, all you have to do is just break the staircase lines a bit, and you're done:





Banding issue aside, I'm very happy to see that Krillin is finally being made, and he's looking very promising already.

Daeron's sprites are near perfect, they just need this fine-tuning.

Still planning it out, but I think you should at least be able to move it up and down! As far as other movement options... still have to discuss that!

Not totally sure what to feel about this yet. The clips from the trailer looked good, I like Krillin, and I like charge characters. But Krillin as a charge character seems kind of strange to me. I guess it'll make more sense as more is revealed.

Using Extreme Butouden as a base is also giving me mixed emotions, because I liked Krillin's moveset in Extreme Butouden (even though I didn't like the game mechanics). But people were already confusing the original sprites Balth and everybody were doing for Hyper Dragonball Z with Extreme Butuoden's sprites, and I feel like some people won't see him as an original take on the character.

But I'm loving the work so far so I'm looking forward to seeing more.
