also there's different small portraits depending on whether you do vs, arcade and team so it might be good to look into that tooRight I just forgot them :P
darkmater's shark jaw thing is awesomeYeah I like that move too, looks awesome. The Game has some nice Sprites.
Damn it's been YEARS since I've actually seen Jin! So many memories... Mugen could use characters like these as opposed to seeing multiple remakes of the same characters over and over... I'd love to see this guy in J Morphman's, Devine wolf's, or Infinite's style. That'd be pretty cool...

Or I'd rather have him close to the source material. (Accuracy rocks btw)
Flashy graffix on really old sprites like these....My eyes are already begging for the sweet release that only a good direct splash of ammonia can provide.
Anyways Darkmater has some really cool animations.
I can always change the shading and make him look more like a cvs style. It won't look so bad then... I have plans for this Jin. And it won't be accurate by any means. It's about to be 2013. This dude needs an update BIG TIME...!Would be nice to sea, that my Spriterips get used!
i'm still surprised that you ripped a martial champion spritesheet that fast/clean though. then again i'm just used to konami games being impossible to rip from (don't think i haven't forgotten the pain you put me under, dragoon might). still don't know how masa00341 ripped sounds at all though...which is another annoying thing about these konami fighters...Martial Champions isnt that hard to rip from (excapt some getHit/Fall frames), since there is no zoom function.
i'm gonna be a dork and ask if chaos and titi are possible since they're like the two characters i cared about
Jaw has some mediocre spritework, but good moves.Yes he looks somewhat boring, and he is the only char in the game with a 1 frame stace (static). BTW he is a secret char in the game.
Holy shit man! You did Chaos! She was Titi in Japan, and Titi was Chaos. She's the one I was talking about. Great job! Time to get started... :pleased:Yeah I know the name thing. I just named her sheet like in the American Arcade version wich I ripped from. Tit(s)i is fitting much more to a girl lol + Chaos fits well to a Zombie/Vampire/Gohst/Whatever Guy.
Why isn't the first post showing not all sheets (if I press modify everything is listed correcly)? Is one Post limited to something?
if you want a suggestion how about balboa next? that guy's pretty coolYes I guess I'll try to rip every char from the Game. By the way, if I understand it correctly Balboa is shouting "Blowjob" while throwing his projectile lol. That would even top Wacker from Tough Guy.

oh yeah, both great fighter and invincible have loss portraits (former being a 'continue?' screen and the other i'm not sure how you get), just a head's upAdded those Loss Portraits to the Great Fighter Sheets. In invincible I guess you have to win a fight to sea that, but winning in this game is impossible for me yet.
How do you manage to rip them?Capturing with animget, cleaning/editing with Photoshop
Do you do it "oldschool" with full screen caps and cleaning?
ahah hell yes, thanks so much for the piotobich sprites, he'll be another addition to my gigantic list of ideasWould cool to see him in mugen ;D
oh yeah and what did you scale your animget screens down to, to get the sprites looking like their native sizes? and is there a definite native resolution for these games? because i'm thinking of ripping some sprites of my own (from timeslaughter, to be specific)My Dosbox is always running on 640*480 (I guess thats the smallest resolution possible for dosbox, 320*240 would make things easier though)
edit: and piotobich has a third move? okay that i wasn't aware ofYeah, but he only made this move once during recording, in the end its his Jumping Punsh with a invisible projectile that makes dust on the ground or wharever.

Hyuck seems to be the only one in those Great Fighter sprite sheets with that "super deformed" sprite.BTW thats his loose anim where he shrinks down to that small man.
sadly that's the most personality their sprites express in that game. i would've thought hassarn would be as wacky as his portrait would imply but unfortunately not, although i still like the characters in itYeah, most chars don't have much personality in this game and most char desings are total bland, but I kind of like them too. Somehow an interesting stpritestyle.
also neato, shadow fighter. i always forget to try that game out, but i remember 'yurgen' is in it lolThe game isn't THAT bad, its kind of playable, but since its an amiga game, you only have one fire button for everything D;
oh and forgot to tell ya: i may be planning things with some more sprites of yours (http://mugenguild.com/forum/topics/more-things-i-may-or-may-not-make-thread-with-palettes-147397.0.html)looking forward to this :sugoi:
He's definitely someone I'd like to see someday.
You've missed the standing basic diagonal+firebutton (DF+fire,DB+fire,UF+fire and UB+fire) attacks for your Shadow Fighter rips (yes, Shadow Fighter characters can have up to around 9 standing attacks). As well as crouching "neutral" attacks (attacks that are done by pressing/holding fire and not holding any direction while the character is still in crouching state). (Fortunately for ripping purposes, if pressing a direction and fire just before crouching/jumping is too much of a challenge, you can do a standing basic attack and during that hold a fire button and a diagonal direction so the character will later do a diagonal+fire attack rather than crouch/jump. Simirarly you can do an other crouching basic and during that let go the direction while still holding the fire button to do the crouching attack you've missed.)Thanks for the information! I'll try to get the rest of the animations.

Wow you're ripping Shadow fighter chars!!!Thanks to your help ;)
I can't wait to see more of "Great Fighter". There is some kind of Blue Mary looking char in it (not sure)The last 2 missing will come the next days I guess. They are allready ripped but I have to clean them yet and arrange their sheets.
Didnt the Strip Fighter characters have strip KOs?
Cool progress!

Also, it's a great news to see you ripping "Shadow fighter" sprites!! simply GREAT!
Updated the both Shadow Fighter sheets
Thanks again to The_None for pointing that out
Also why do Sasaki's sprites show him with Blonde hair........but his character pic shows a different color? Unless that's just a different palette.In this case you have to ask the game developers since in this sheet its his default palette.
Will be ripped the sprites from Metal and Lace 2 too?aren't allready nearly all chars from that game converted?

More Shadow fighters!! :)Here you go:
the game's sprite style is certainly pretty likable thoughYeah I like the style, they don't have much colors and look simple, but I kinda like it.
Awesome :DSpoiler, click to toggle visibilty
what's even stranger is the artwork because toshio looks like a 25-year-old that was amputated from the knees downAccording to the Game he is 14, but yeah this artwork D;
Are those captions seriously from the actual artwork?I'am not really sure if this one is official, since it is from an Amiga gaming magazine showing the Movelist of all chars from the game. Each char has an Artwork next to his/hers movelist. Don't know if those where drawn by the magazine authors or taken from the official manual (which I havent seen yet).
you should know after ripping yamato that you shouldn't hold your breath for ripping from that game lolI know, but at least I can ask, can't I?? :P
For sure you can, but I can't promise you anything concerning dragoon might sprites. I've put that project on the side for some time, to not loose my nerves :-Xyou should know after ripping yamato that you shouldn't hold your breath for ripping from that game lolI know, but at least I can ask, can't I?? :P
I can confirm that this is the crappy drawing style of the Amiga Gaming Magazines.what's even stranger is the artwork because toshio looks like a 25-year-old that was amputated from the knees downAccording to the Game he is 14, but yeah this artwork D;

Thanks for the infromation, can you post a link to a scan of those robot masters?I can confirm that this is the crappy drawing style of the Amiga Gaming Magazines.what's even stranger is the artwork because toshio looks like a 25-year-old that was amputated from the knees downAccording to the Game he is 14, but yeah this artwork D;

I will never forgive them, what they did with the Robot Masters from MegaMan 3.
For sure you can, but I can't promise you anything concerning dragoon might sprites. I've put that project on the side for some time, to not loose my nerves :-XAt least you've it in mind, that's enough for me :P
But someday I'll give it a try again.
I'will only update this thread once in a month so I don't need to make 1000 single Posts about the updates.
Any plans to rip stage stuff too, or just characters? I watched a longplay of Shadow Fighters and it had some cool stages.I thought allready about that. Problem is, that nearly all Amiga Fighting Games have parallax floor and there is no Tile viewer like in Mame where you can get the floor as one sprite. And this way its nearly impossible to rip the floors well.
Any chance to see other characters from "Tough Guy" ripped?Sure! Thats planned.
Finally I could get some of those games (Tough Guy, Body Blows), so maybe in one of these I'll use some of your packs ;)That would be awesome! :)
super late comment: 'puppet' looks awesome and if i ever get back to mugen again i'm adding him to my listWould be cool! Hope you dont quit your stuff!
iirc,my version of mame can disable layers on that one.Thats right. But since nearly the whole cast got allready converted from that game, I don't think I'll work on that. I'm more working on the underdog stuff that hasn't been converted from much. + I guess I teak a little ripping break to get more time on my WIPs.
bring us the Kappa from Shogun Warriors or Sanpei from Blood Warriors... ...or at least their stages...AFAIK all Blood Warrior stages got converted.
he was actually making kappa at one point so i'm sure he has those rips lying around somewhere if he wants to up themIf I had them, I would have uploaded them. But I lost the sprites + the WIP char due to a HD-Crash some time ago (like mentioned in my Wip thread some time ago). But I guess I'll rip him again when time has come.
the sprites in the costumes section of that page are only seen on the select screen.
Hey cenobite maybe you can extract sprites from Time Slaughter because I thinking on converting the characters into mugen.
link to the game: http://www.bloodlustsoftware.com/timeslaughter.html (http://www.bloodlustsoftware.com/timeslaughter.html)
They are all uploaded to tsr. All files in the first post are links to tsr
On Dos games I used the oldschool method -> Animget + Cleaning
