I liked Wyldestar too.

Also, I'm definatly looking forward to trying out the new Moses Maddigan :D

I thought Ruckus was the funnest (is that a word?) character I'd created yet. He's so lively, fast, and full of personality and awesome wrestling references. Different Strokes I guess.

I really, really don't like those sprites, I'm sorry. That's why I made completely new ones (along with the storyline change). The person she's based on (a friend of mine) hated them as well.

I don't think funnest is a word actually, I just say "most fun"

and it's alright, it's not a big deal if you don't redo them, I just didn't want her to be left out (though she did get a complete overhaul, so...yeah)

Could always try editing a bit yourself Gill and make some kind of patch I know you can do something cool, if thats cool with SeanAltly that is :p

But on topic the new sprites look great, but when I comepare Moses to other fighters, like the fighter his sprites are based on for ex., he seems really short, but I think all your fighters are like this for the full game, so its mostly likey me being odd.

Moses now looks more refined and high-class, especially with his tie tucked in, the updates are nice, and I like green better then blue on moses anywho.

But are there truly grown men in this world?!

I wish I could get some help updating these things. It's a very daunting task, and it seems like someone out there could do something like adding anti-aliasing and cleaning up the sprites. I remember c00per helping me a bit on getting Byrne to look nice.

Also, yes, he is a bit short. I always list him at being 6'4'', but compared to other characters from other games he looks quite short. Compared to other SHADEs characters, not as much, though he still looks shorter than 6'4''. Thanks for the compliments!

Yeah, I went with green because of it's association with Money. That way, bright blue is reserved for Sabotage and can be associated with being heroic.

Sean, I've been playing Shades of Manhattan lately and just wanted to say, great game! it can be a bit difficult at times with that ruthless AI but overall really fun to play. Congratulations on all the hard work, When I first looked at Mugen I was very iffy about it, after finding your game I wanted to aspire to creating something original like you have!

I'm very glad to hear that. I've been working hard on the characters and stages for SHADEs 2, and I hope you'll check it out when it's done. I know the first one wasn't the best, the sprites were a bit flat and the AI was brutal, but it's still great to hear that people liked it so much. Makes it all worthwhile.

What I love the most is the originality and playing with every character to see what they can do and even what they say!

I for one know it takes a long time to even create a character concept let alone cohesive story to bind them all together, By the way, I hope you do one day do the comic you originally intended.

I have a feeling I'm going to be learning a lot about how to utilise Mugen just by reading your forum.

the SHADES characters are quite nice, although I remember receiving a pretty big smackdown with Moses Maddigan using I think it was Black Friday on me. Thirteen is a personal favorite reminds me of what would happen if you combined Baraka with Wolverine, his bone blade special is really combo friendly to.

Anyways, this is good game if I do say so myself. Keep up the good work!

On a side note, I've fallen in love the Rorschach model Sean. He is really, really well made. His combo system, albeit a little cheap with the grapple hook, still makes him a unique character and a definite keeper. Props.

Thanks a lot guys. Rorschach is one of my favorite comic characters, so I had to make him. The reason I don't make more characters like that is because they have to be characters I truly love, or else investing that much time on a character that's not my own feels too much like work. Snake and Rorschach are characters I have passion for. Thanks for the compliments.

I might be a little late to the party, but are there any plans for EX Snow, as well as EX Adamas/EX Sabotage outside of the fullgame (doubt it).

Once I get Snow and Sabotage's sprites updated, their EX versions will be updated as well. EX Adamas is just waiting for me to get around to updating. If I'd thought ahead, I'd just be able to use Adamas' .sff, but unfortunately EX Adamas has a different .sff with altered sprites. I do plan on releasing them, I just don't know when. Right now I'm just dreading updating Wyldestar because her sprites are so small it will be hard to add detail without it looking messy. Right now I have 13 fully updated, SHADEs 2-ready characters.

I'm also working on the sprites for the last new character as well as editing Specialist's sprites for a Collection Agency mini-game type deal. Luckily, Snow and Wyldestar do share the same .sff as their EX counterparts, so once one is done the other will be too. I think I can get these sprites updated by the end of the summer, with sporadic releases as I finish them. If there is enough people interested, I can release the EX versions outside the full-game.
