Fully agree and can relate.

I don't have time to play let alone sit down and learn properly.

I can imagine coding/data mining/gathering assets takes lots and lots of time.

Also being in IT myself after work looking at code is the last thing I want to do.

As for the style itself, it has its drawbacks, it has way to many defensive mechanics and I believe Rowen mentioned it not everything fits or needs to be in POTS style.
 
However, saying this, the most authentic chars I've used have been in this style.

Not to mention that I barely have interest in fighting games nowadays, mostly RPG's which I do not have time to play.

Having the patience of a toddler is also a thing, I cant be assed to learn new fighting game with its ins and outs.

Though an year or two ago I would have murdered someone for a POTS Rick.

Hi,

Been doing some messing around with 720p and I like the look when its all configured correctly, the last issue im facing is that the win text in pots chars, hyper BG's etc are being squished in game.

I looked at the hyper BG code, however I was not able to see what I need to change for this to scale correctly.

Also the numbers that should be used to scale it





Edit looking at PotS's  Kanji code that is also affected, it looks like I may have to modify everything to fit 720p, if thats the case fuck that.


Any help is appreciated

Bruh... I'm even rusty with playing lol. I started remembering things when playing as Mai halfway into the match... Dropped various combos and punishes with Rock... I'm slowly getting it back though.

Nice fight, Beni is always annoying to deal with.

It's ironic that you're trying to "teach code" when in the past we gave you feedback on characters you made so you could make them better and you did exactly what you're doing now, you didn't listen. You ignored every advice we gave you.

Really wish you could listen and get better and actually use what you learn to help other people. I guess some things never change.

First thing you need to do is learn how to express yourself with common decency and respect.
You assume all of us are aware of whatever R34 is, I've watched a lot of Jaiden videos and she has never mentioned it, on her channel at least.
People can accept commissions for char coding, spriting, color separating etc.

Not sure what this clothes rip thing is as I have not tested the char, but if it is something obscene Shim should have mentioned that and give people a warning.

Just messed about with Shin Akuma and he is bonkers :D
He's very fun, a suggestion I have is, why not let him chain those two  (Close HK) and (Fwd MP) so he can then link lets say to a tatsu and start the shenanigans all over again.

One more thing I noticed with Vega, when he does hes level 1 right before the last hit a spark or a dust cloud is being placed in the wrong place, im guessing its used where the body lands, check the floor on the left.

Edit more Vega stuff,

Here I am trying to roll in the opposite direction but Vega just does not want to do it most of the time, so im doing the sweep on the left side, im trying to roll to the right but he goes back to the left.

Mugen version of Vega does not even want to roll half the time, he just does an standing HP or HK, when he rolls he also does it in the wrong direction.

Fucking hell, you're right, Im stupid, on mugen I was using 1280 x 960, I assumed I was using 1280x1024.

Ofc I tested it, and mugen cuts the image on the bottom on that res.

Let me edit my comment so I don't confuse the devs.

After playing a bit more with the latest version of Ikemen and switching back and forth from Mugen this is what I can report, please excuse me if it was already reported.

The engine itself.
Sound feels I dont know how to put it but lower quality or scratchy compared to mugen also something is going on with Vsync when you have it disabled or enabled, somehow it feels smoother when its ON which is mad to me, as every game I play on PC I remove the Vsync and I can tell the difference asap that it feels snappier, im speaking for FPS and stuff as for inputs I need more time with Ikemen.

Annoying thing is, because of my lack of knowledge, if you were to ask me which is smoother, I would say mugen.

Also not sure if its me, or my setup but Ikemen can be optimized a bit better, it should not be as heavy as it is, and im running a 3060 TI with I forgot what was my CPU but it is a good CPU.

Things I noticed that are not scalling correctly (I guess) when comparing to Mugen.

I know its not fair to expect everything to be 1 to 1, but mugen would scale that hyper BG correctly, this happenes only when using higher resolutions.
Screenshot was taken with 1280x1024 no zoom or localcoords have been used here, just vanilla out of the box Ikemen.



Thank you for putting all this effort into the engine, when I opened the select def all the options I had there to tweak everything how I want was just awesome.
