I'm sure everyone knows about it.

I'm pretty scared of this myself. At this point I dont even know what is the truth, if the mainstream news is lying or telling the truth, or if we're really in for an outbreak or an apocalypse.

what do you think?

man this sucks. was hoping it would be 60 fps.

isnt that like a common standard nowadays? well anyways, I'm ok with 30 FPS. I remember REmake was in 30 fps and I was cool with that. 60 FPS does look a lot smoother though, I remember how sexy MGS2 looked on the PS2.

or maybe they're still working on it?

Please, 6-button, all basics.

I really want to make a CvS2 style 2k3 Kyo with these sprites, and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in wanting to make a 6-button Kyo with these new sprites.

That's a fabulous idea. Kyo is my most used and best character in CvS2, and I played with him at high level K-Groove. I know almost everything about CvS2 Kyo. If you decide to work on one, I can be your gameplay guy, testing out his mixups, combos, setups, and creating even more exciting ideas for him play-wise.

How much would it cost to make a M.U.G.E.N. project?

Hey everyone, it's me again.

Was just curious, if Mugen projects had a price tag along with it, what would be the price tag cost if say, for example, a bunch of "investors" came in and wanted to create a fullgame. According to my good ole friend Cyanide, a team that is needed to create a full game would require a minimum of at least 3 men. One spriter, one coder, and one graphics designer. So let's pretend we are looking at it from a business standpoint... how much would it cost to create a full game like these listed below?

Examples

- A 14 character SF2 game

- A 21 character roster KOF13 styled game. (KOF13 style sprites would probably cost thousands huh?)
* instead of starting from scratch, we can look at all the lovely KOF conversions that many Mugen members have done. Vans, CCI Iron Mugen, TrinityMugen members, Sander71113, etc...

- A 32 character roster CvS2 game.
* with all upscaled HD sprites (like that CvS2 HD Rock released for MUGEN)
* instead of recoding everything from scratch, we are building off on warusaki3's or Jesuszilla's system

Let's pretend that we needed to hire like 2 spriters, 2 coders, 2 graphics designers. Now you are the boss and you are paying them to work, but you aren't enslaving them either. You have respect for their time, personal space, and talent, so you aren't skimping them on low-pay, nor arent you rushing them either. Let's just pretend it's a fairly positive agreement you and your desired team wants to work with. So with a fair amount of cash to pay and the mutual interests, how much would you think it would cost to get a full game done? Either from ground up, or starting off on top of previous creations and going beyond?

Sometimes, working in teams fails due to creative divergences. Team member A wants the character to do something, and team member B is totally against it. Arguments happen and then everything goes to oblivion.

And another reason is because in general we're not being paid for doing stuff. If I have to invest my free time in a skill that would improve my career, I'd do it learning a new programming language instead of learning mugen. So, at the end, whatever comes out of mugen is pure hobbyists and fandom, because no one would be 100% devoted to mugen.

does that mean you would actually work on commission if someone approached you for a fair deal?

1.) I don't get paid for the work I do.
2.) I get pissed off because I don't get paid for the work I do.
3.) Laziness due to not being paid for the work I do.
4.) Angriness at mugen for pissing me off sometimes more than my job... which I get paid to do.
5.) More interesting things come up, making me get side-tracked from mugen.

To be perfectly honest though, I'd rather make characters and work on NZCR all day than have to deal with the idiots I have to work with...

does that mean you're willing to accept commission work??

hey guys over the years of my witnessing and experience in the Mugen community since 2006, 8 years ago, I can see that many projects have come and gone. characters, stages, full games, and many many other projects just get delayed, and then never are heard of again.

I remember there was CvS:CC, Shugen Do, and that one game by The_None with the MFG members, and many other projects. This thread is just to discuss and ask ourselves, why is it that everything gets abandoned when so far in progress? list your reasons why you think, or you know....

For me personally I was supposed to work on more CvS2 characters and finish a much anticipated character, but I procrastinated and then lost that HD and now I cant retrieve all my works on her.

this is what I think:

1) Laziness
2) Lack of manpower (lack of: spriters, sound designers, graphics designers, coders, AI coders)
3) Distractions
4) Lack of fighting game experience
5) Lack of a team working together (usually it's a single one or two man doing huge spriting, coding, character, or fullgame projects, and it does get lonely)

what do you think?

That's true, Jill has always sorta had a more bland, serious, and total business-like personality in comparison to Claire's more average, teenage girl on the streets (In RE2). In the later games she matured quite well as well but still had a great voice to match the changes of Claire in CV and in Degeneration and the Umbrella Chronicles Rail Shooter games.

Claire is just awesome and after playing RE2 so many times as a kid you can kinda quote Claire's voice on some lines she says during the cut scenes.

Barry, Chris, Jill, and basically everybody in the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha and Bravo team are all really bland (but not bad), serious, less talkative, and just all-business. The only exceptional voice actor was Wesker, but even he was changed when he was first cast in RE1 to RE:CV, REmake, RE:0, and RE4, RE5.

did you add Sagat's unique roundhouse kicks introduced in SF4?

he has his fwd+roundhouse kick in SF4 that's really good and lets him link that move into ultra/supers and other stuff. Sagat also has his fwd+light kick move. both those moves are useful for his kara cancel tiger uppercut, which would are signature Sagat moves in SF4.

I'm going to wait to pick this up. Not because I don't think it'll do well, I just want to play it on a PS4 when I get it early next year.

Hey Hoshi! long time no talk brothaaa. it's been a long time. Still going to Fanime?? we still need to meet up after all these years omfg. but yeah, play it on the PS4, it looks amazing so far. I really cant wait to play the game.

the whole reason I got a PS4 was to play this game, because the PS4 currently does not have any good games yet

The game looks pretty good so far. but the enemies kinda look like the zombies you find in Left 4 Dead. but then again, it's only just the beginning. Did you guys see the new trailer for The Evil Within yet? the graphics look pretty damn gorgeous.

I hope RE:R2 is going to get a polished in the final build of the game itself. because currently the game does not look too well, but hey, the gameplay can make up for it.
