This reminds me of the Hisui/Kohaku (sp?) sort of double-character from Melty Blood that was released some years back (both characters are on screen, only one of them is controlled at any given time) - or Sunboy's SNK-Capcom Team character, which is 4-in-1 (characters are swapped in and out of the screen).

Do you know where I can find that character? If it's open-source (and I'm not holding my breath here :P) I might be able to have a look at the coding and see how it's done.

Noob-Smoke Gameplay Ideas

So, I'm beginning work on an MKvsSF Noob-Smoke, and already I've hit my first major roadblock - how to implement the 2-in-1 character style Mortal Kombat: Deception used for them. So I pondered on it for a while, and came up with an idea of how it might work.

  • 1. There are three states: the default state for all chars, a state for Noob Saibot and a state for Smoke.
  • 2. The default state is unused except for the Super Secret Desperation Move (very secret).
  • 3. The Noob and Smoke states define which character you play as. With a simple button press, you change states and thereby swap characters.
  • 4. When you swap characters, you also swap what special/super moves and other animations will be used.

What do you think? Any suggestions/input would be appreciated very much.  ;)

Hello, world! Steel Komodo here, looking forward to a great time on the forums. Hopefully, you'll start seeing content of varying (hopefully good) quality appearing from me, so make sure to check it out if it does!  ;)

I'm already working on a MKvsSF Noob-Smoke char, as it happens (ESFAndy011, if you're reading this, thanks for being my inspiration. ;D), and hopefully I can figure out how to work Fighter Factory and make him. Wish me luck!
