Looks like Tekken 7 is delayed to May. In a recent steam by Namco it was notmentioned as "Early 2017" release anymore, just 2017.

In other also super important news I found out that Katsuhiro Harada blocks out people on Twitter if they dare to critizise him or something Tekken related.

Interview with the developers (from Chile) behind that Omen of Sorrow fighting game for PS4 and PC that seems to be inspired by Killer Instinct

"Omen of Sorrow uses 4 attack buttons, plus a dedicated Throw button and one “Special” button. It’s aiming to be more fast-paced than, say, Street Fighter 4, but less busy than the Guilty Gear or the Marvel series. We definitely want that focus on pacing and the neutral game that makes classic 2D fighters so enjoyable to watch. We also would like just the tiniest bit of that agility and mobility that you find on most anime fighters.”"

Those 97 and 98 OL KOF games got pretty awesome new artworks for the characters at least. Couldnt care less for a KOF mobile game but something like this is awesome to see for these old characters:

someone from dA ripped these from the '97 game

It also didnt stop the crippled snes ports of Killer Instinct or Mortal Kombat 3 but the big majority of new games are not getting any lastgen ports, years after the current gen platforms were released, and after the Wii U it looks like the majority of the "AAA" games third party developers will ignore the platform anyway or just port older games to it. Exceptions are the rule but to expect Borderlands 3 coming to the Switch was very unrealistic..in my opinion at least.

...isnt that obvious?

Borderlands never made it to a Nintendo console and the guy there says he would only buy the Switch if Borderlands 3 would be on it, a game that will most likely get downgraded versions even on the PS4 Pro if it will be the same situation as back with Borderlands 1,2,Pre-quel.

At this time its pretty obvious that the Switch will barely get any future multiplatform games that are technically demanding titles and won't run without serious downgrading. That's probably why Bethesda releases their 5 year old Skyrim on it but did not announce a port of Doom (2016)

I wonder why that guy even thought that Borderlands would be on a Nintendo console all of a sudden.

Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime: Why Switch is different from Wii U

“I would say the greatest challenge we had with the Wii U was being crystal clear in our communication of what the product was and what the product could do,"he told USA TODAY on Friday. "When we first showed off the Wii U for example it was misinterpreted that it was simply a tablet and not a device that truly was connected to your TV and could create two-screen types of gaming experiences. With Nintendo Switch we are being very aggressive and clearly communicating the proposition that it’s a home console you can take on the go wherever and whenever you want… We’re working hard to make sure it’s going to be a success.”

Switch is not meant to replace the handheld Nintendo 3DS video game system that the company has been selling for years, and which Fils-Aime says had six straight months of year-on-year growth at the end of last year, with Nintendo selling more software for the system in October, November and December than it ever has.

“The 3DS business is incredibly vibrant and with a continuing flow of software it’s going to stay vibrant,” Fils-Aime insists.

Good luck and everything with the project Memo, it sounds ambitious but very cool, I liked the first Capcom vs the World a lot.

If I can make a character suggestion as well, maybe another popular wrestler would be cool since CM Punk was in the first game?

Stone Cold Steve Austin or The Rock would be quite badass.

Or to continue the spirit of "different worlds" maybe an MMA athlethe or Real World Martial Arts actor of the past or present time?

Ich selber war wenig begeistert muss ich zugeben. Viele Ports, recht wenig wirklich neues.

Gameplay-wise its based on Mario 64 maybe, but the setting is something that might put off people.

You know there in Super Mario 64 you had your typical Mario World in 3D. There were the spooky places, the lava and ice levels, the underwater and typical mushroom kingdom landscapes.

There in Mario Oddyssey you have Mario in places that don't really belong to the Mario Universe, its like Mario in a non Mario game with normal sized humans, robots, or temples that look so realistic that they could be a part of an old Tomb Raider game. I can see why not everyone likes this clash of cartoon characters in relative realistic environments.

"Now take this as a rumor and speculation for now, but it’s very possible that Skyrim on the Nintendo Switch will be a port of the Xbox 360/PS3 version, and not the recent Xbox One/PS4 / PC versions. Nintendo released a product description on their site which revealed the following.

There is not a single mention of the upgrades that the PS4/Xbox One version had, no mention of mods, and the lack of “special edition” in the title is very noticeable. It’s not like they had forgot to mention them, as if they were in the game, it would’ve been advertised as these were the main selling points for the PS4/Xbox One version."

Ouch if this is true.

Ah..true..forgot they still sell the classic Metroid 2. But I bet there could have been solutions like to offer both or, to even add AM2R as a bonus to the classic one. Of course that costs all money and is not possible on every platform, but to collaborate with the am2r maker for the benefit of him, nintendo and the fans was never totally impossible. ..whatever.

Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime Offers Mother 3, Metroid Fans Hope

OOn Thursday night Nintendo revealed Nintendo’s Switch, including some of its games. Sadly, there was no mention of a new Metroid or Mother/Earthbound. However, it appears Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has given fans of those IPs a bit of hope.

When speaking to GameSpot, Fils-Aime had the following to say about the two franchises (and dormant franchises in general), after the media outlet eluded to the fact that Nintendo has many franchises that it seemingly has forgotten about:

“Oh, so earlier today I got asked about Mother 3; maybe you can ask me about Metroid,” he said jovially. “Look, again, I am proud as an executive with Nintendo to say that we look at all of the boards and all of the comments and we really have a good understanding of what our consumers want. And believe me, we take that to heart as we work to create content.
He continues:

“So I have nothing to announce–here. But we are aware that there are some key IP that consumers just can’t wait for the next true installment in that franchise’s legacy. Suffice it to say, we’re aware of it, and talk to me in a year and let’s look back and see what’s happened.”
Now, it would be irresponsible on anyone’s part to read too much into these comments, but at the very least it’s a slightly reassuring sign to fans of these franchises, that Nintendo is well aware of the demand over them, and that potentially has something in the work that it will be ready to reveal in the near future.

As a big fan of Metroid I don't get why they were not able to figure out a deal with the Metroid 2 Remake maker though. Like how Capcom did it with the Mega Man vs. Street Fighter guy back in 2012. And I don't get why they made Federation Force when they know pretty much what the fans wanted.
