What are the moveset plans? Are you going for his SFxT moves with some extras?

One fancy idea would be transforming into True Ogre, even if it's just a super animation, and assuming you can find the sprites.

Yeah, he'll be mostly based on his SFxT version with some extra's.

I want to try and get some Tekken Tag 2 references in there as well.

 

Having True Ogre appear in a super crossed my mind as well..

The problem there aren't many good sprites of him, but I'll look into it.

 

Another thing that crossed my mind was, that in Tekken, Ogre uses a lot of moves of other fighters (Lore wise explained by the fact that he does this by consuming the souls of defeated fighters).

Although the prospect seems interesting to "borrow" some moves from SF and/or KOF characters, I don't want him to turn into SF's Seth.

He only borrows moves from Tekken chars, for your interest. Reserving it to just moves he's taken in his official movesets would be good enough.

I can be the judge when the movelist is successfully laid out.

In terms of special moves, for now I'll stick with the SFxT ones being, Indigo Punch, Waning Moon, Blazing Kick, Ancient Power and Owls Hunting.

Chucho also made sprites for True Ogre, don't know how many sprites he made for it though but you could make a super with Ogre turning into True Ogre and spit some fire and turn back to normal or something like that.

Some small progress:

Revamping the Indigo Punch, his previous Mugen version treated this as a projectile which it is not.
It's actually a knockdown special attack in SFxT

All moves are done expect his supers.
When that's done he'll be polished up a bit coding wise and then I think there should be enough base character to drop as a beta.

Tbh I've never looked into recording stuff on pc lol, but if I'm correct Windows 10 has built in software?
Anyway maybe I will, but I'd rather spend that time on coding him and getting a beta out there ^^;

Apologies if you already have her movelist set and you don't have the sprites, but I took some moves from SC6 which should give you ideas:

Normals:
Punishing Wind (Overhead)
Shadow Banishment (Target Combo)
Heavy Shadow (Target Combo ending with Overhead)

Throws:
Departure in Fire
Dropping the Bottle

Specials:
Ninja Cannon (Launcher, maybe best for its EX version)
Piercing Wind (DP / Anti-Air)
Fog Blanket (Similar to RED Kick)
Stalker (Special Jump with follow-ups including an Air Throw)
Bow Breaker (Command Throw)
Haste (Triple Kick Rekka, could work as a Normal aswell)

Supers:
Seal of the Fire Dragon
Quake Slash
Ninja Cannon: Fury (From SC4)

I had to Frankensprite her crouching LK and MK since the sprite sheet ones still looked to much like Mai.
Right now all her ground and crouching normals are done, plus her jumping punch attacks.
1 special move has been done, being Hurricane Punishment (her cartwheel kick)

Throws have been coded but they look rough, mostly because of her lack sprites that even remotely resemble grappling.

EX Hurricane Punishment has been coded.
As is her 2nd special move so far, Assassin's Strike, along with it's EX version.

With Mai being her base in terms of coding, in kinda created an extra super which I initially did not plan but a lot of prefab was there so I thought, why the hell not XD

It's very similar to Mai's "Burning Mai".

Currently working on Ivy's first special move, a snake ground blade, intended as a zoning tool.
Sporting three different ranges (light, medium and heavy versions), also negates projectiles.

Here's her potential movelist I've planned a this point in time:

Throws
Both already implemented

Primal Dominance

Sweet Dominance

Special moves

Fear's Void (Ground Snake Blade)
Already implemented, EX version homes in on opponent

Serpent's Embrace  swing whip attacks

Ivy Lick (Anti air snake blade)
Fear's Void might end up being it's EX version


Supers:

Fires of insanity
Or at least a combo attack involving that

Raging Gnome (Multiple ground snake blades)

I might take some inspiration of Green & GillFrog's existing supers


Additionally the thought of giving her a ranged command (either special or super) also crossed my mind but I'm a bit on the fence about that
because it could make her very scary gameplay wise.

Basically, sprite edits.

Medium Kick (You can use existing high kick animation and just swap with this frame at the right moment)

Hmm.. I like the suggestion of Fires of Insanity as Lightning Legs esque input special, I will definitely look into that!

Yeah i would like to ask if there's a version for Mugen 1.0/1.1 640x480 resolution.

I liked those lifebars because they are similar to the CVS2 Lifebar, but without those gigantic CVS fonts.

I could find this lifebar in a video, but when i used it in my mugen it was too small.

Nevermind, i found a 640x480 version.

Even though most of my free time has been going towards playing KOF 15, I still managed to make some progress on Ivy.

- LP, MP and HP versions of Fires of insanity are done (it is a tap P special)
- LP, MP, HP and EX versions of Ivy Lick are done (anti air blade)
- Her first super, Raging Gnome (MAX) has been done (multiple ground blades)

The progress is good!!!
However, I feel like the sprite base need some upgrade. (like some transition frames etc)
I might give it a try when the character is more advanced :)

The blades lacks hitsparks and the hitspark position needs some work.

I can excuse the animation stuff because it probably wasn't good at the start.

Most hitspark positions have been corrected, I'm still working on the groundblade spark x/y though.

It's actually an air throw, it mostly acts the same to Cammy's frankensteiner air throw.

And yes, Ivy's existing sprite set is limited when it comes to frames.
