MaxBeta said, January 20, 2011, 04:40:35 pmJust upgraded from RC8, and was hoping that the stage tile issue would be fixed. At least that snd thing is somewhat fixed.Which leads me back to my original question: does this mean we have to wait until 1.1 before shit like the Long Name KO glitch is fixed?

No one has yet coded a tool that batch adds a "tilespace=0,0" line to each stage that has tiled stuff and not declared tilespace?
Rednavi said, January 21, 2011, 12:31:04 amwhat's the long name KO thingy anyway?1.) open up for character's DEF file in any text editor2.) under name, change it to ""3.) save4.) run MUGEN 1.0 RC8 or higher5.) select your character in any match6.) ...7.) profit?Edit: "Shin_Orochi_LvX_God_Nuke_Omnipsych" has the same effect
I'm not getting it. What's the effect supposed to do? I used that name for one of my characters, ran mugen 1.0 and nothing really happened. Did they fix it for mugen 1.0?Are the characters with the long names instantly die or something? The only thing I noticed is that the name just went off screen if the character won a battle, so you couldn't see the 'wins' sign.Other than the fact I notice the ""'s being displayed with the name. :-/

I would have died in one hit.Very odd problem. Never knew about it before.
FrozenDelight said, January 21, 2011, 10:36:45 pmHmm thats odd... hay, I got a an idea how to fix it!..... Don't use such stupid, long names! THISYou can just shorten the names to your liking
Anyone having issues with the sound?I tried putting an mp3 in a blank copy of 1.0 Final, and for some reason the sound doesn't play in the title and select screen.I didn't install screenpacks, chars, etc, etc.The path is correct and the filename is title.mp3. The volume is good too.
Okay, so....came across a pretty pesky bug on my end.For some very odd reason the latest Mugen 1.0 crashed on me 3 times last night with the same type of log.Error message: Can't load C.Falcon2.sff2Error loading chars/C.Falcon/C.Falcon.defError loading p2Library error message: Need at least one [VictoryBG] type bgThis happened with recent Mugen 1.0 versions of Kamekaze's characters and also Eli's Blair Dame...All which are 1.0 standard chars. Also, it would happen out of the blue...at any given moment, during any random match in versus mode with either P1 or P2...Don't get me wrong, the characters appear to be working fine...this is a build specific bug.Anybody else had this problem?
could it be because the file format is called sff2? maybe if it's changed to .sff then it wont crash.I didnt get the crash once, and I did lots of tests for my projectile reflection system in my fullgame. however the sff on my game it's not v2 but I played with v2 conversions for 30 minutes and didnt get crashes.
Navi, not to question your intelligence or sound like a dick or anything, cuz you been around a lot more than I have...but what the hell bro? .sff2 files are the new mugen 1.0 standard for compressed sprites and palettes all-in-one. If it has to do with something, it certainly isn't that...or yes, you may be right in saying that oh well...they are the new standard but somehow not fully stable?I really wanna know what this part of the crash log is all about:Library error message: Need at least one [VictoryBG] type bgNow, I played around some more today without changing anything and it certainly did not happen at all in the 3 hours that I played so again, I am clueless as to why this happened in the first place.
N-Mario said, January 21, 2011, 07:03:47 amI'm not getting it.What I don't get is what happened... I thought you didn't care about this anymore...so, please just tell me what you didn't like with my works. or...How did you like Vent Aile and Omega? did you try them? or... did I offend you in any way so are you angry?... I wish Elecbyte already fixed freqmul and modifyexplod, without them some things just don't work well.
God, sorry for the retarded answer, I read it wrong due to cellphone, that crash says something about missing victory quotes, maybe the latest version requires atleast one winquote in 1.0 chars? i dont think so, my chars dont have the winquote section at all but maybe yours have it empty. it could also be a mistake in the screenpack (but its a clean copy so...). regarding the sff2, i never created one using elecbyte tools nor really read too much about it so tgat explains why i didnt know about the change name IN the file. oh well... waiting for the 1.1, i really need zoom + speed boost.
anyone having the same problems I had with characters not even showing up on the select screen with the new release? In the old RCA09 release for example, people's updated 1.0 characters would work, now I don't even see them popping up on screen, just a handfull of them do, and the ones that do are a handfull of pots characters. Strange.
Quotemodifyexplod, without them some things just don't work well.Modifyexplod has been fucked since forever.
