ξ Bastard said, December 21, 2010, 11:36:39 pmCard Sagas Wars VS KOF NESTS ConclusionFight for the most complicated Fighting Game SystemRound 1FIGHT !!!Dunno who wins but after 3 days of recoding my projectile helpers and totally retweaking the universal system coding (sigh... a NIGHTMARE!) I'm pretty sure I'm at second place at the "most retarded workarounds to fix stupid mugen bugs and to incorporate otherwise-impossible crap on MUGEN" award... followed by Balbel Sword God... and to think it took me like 2 years to tweak the fullgame coding and im not even in the 3rd char... imagine this that has original remixes and spritework. I still think it could be alot more "fullgame-ish" by exploiting several other things that usually can't be done outside of fullgames but it's the author's decision anyway, it's not like the game sucks because of that (In fact is the only fullgame Im expecting for mugen for now).
This is awesome this is like fina fantasy meets shonen jump allstars meet marvel vs capcom... very original game that im sure takes time to make...
The game is excellent, my only ever gripe is that all the Nintendo characters have the same moves as their SSB counterparts. Don't abandon the SSB sprites, but atleast give them some moves they didn't have before, like Samus should get her ice shots, and she should get a projectile that does a better job of controlling the screen, think MvC and MvC2 Mega Man or Dhalsim's U1 in SSF4, etc. Either a slow moving projectile that stays around for a while, or easily spammable projectile that controls your opponent's spacing well, and chips away.
I havent logged on here in ages as ive been more active in the fighting game community. But I saw this update video on SRK today and was blown away by the progress as were many other memebers of the community. You guys have Really put mugen on the map and Got fighting gamers who hate mugen looking at your game and saying great things. i just wanted to say i think this is phenomenal work and support it 100%. maybe one day i can even take this game to a tourney.
*Stuned* Well. Besides some sort of weak AI, I think that it's the best I have ever seen it! Just please don't make us wait another year for another video. :3
QuoteGod... and to think it took me like 2 years to tweak the fullgame coding and im not even in the 3rd char...Relax, Spec Ops is on the WIP since 2002
According to the latest site update, some new green (aka support) card characters have been finished! To wit:- Nova (Starcraft)- Simon Belmont (Castlevania)- Selan (Lufia)- Dr. Eggman AKA Robotnik (Sonic the Hedgehog)- Frank West (Dead Rising)- Lara Croft (Tomb Raider)Also, according to the Google translator I used, it seems that 4 of the characters have been finished for the game, with AbyssWolf and Orkimides moving on to 4 more now. For now, however, only Crono and Soma are shown, with the other 2 remaining a mystery. Finally, the card gallery's been updated again.
