Chuchoryu, I have a question for you. Understand that I'm not looking to pick on you, tear your stuff apart or be a hardass here.

How do you go about creating stuff?? What's your process, as in where do you start with ideas and how do you go about testing/finalizing characters?? I only ask because Honey looks pretty cool and your spriting approach also looks cool. There's some concern with this question because you're obviously working on a lot of stuff at the same time, and it would be a shame to see definite talent squandered by spreading yourself too thin.

Are we really going to keep doing this Ume?? I think we've all made ourselves *obvioisly* clear. I think I've also explained myself thoroughly enough.

At this point, I'll just go out and buy popcorn, and then constantly hit the refresh button while I'm at it.

See. I bolded that out because I thought that perfectly fit with the context of what I was saying, with the woman and her obscure views of Monster being satanist. I wasn't knocking Christianity or Judaism. I was correlating her craziness and how it may pertain to how people can look at religion through a crazy set of glasses. It looks like you meta-quoted me there. :ninja:

Oh yeah totally, would be a shame if we had someone like that here, in this very thread.

Instead of eluding to something, you should just come right out and say it.

What? This is the second time you've said this. Catholics give up eating meat on Friday during Lenten season - 40 days out of the year. It's a symbol of sacrifice, and it's not a steadfast rule. Anyone doing any fasting other than that is choosing to make that commitment year round. It's not a requirement of the religion. I've never heard of the Christmas Eve thing at all (certainly never practiced it in the days before my lapse), but I'd imagine it's the same thing. Making a conviction and giving up something SURELY can't be that strange to YOU.

Now I did say old school example. Damn, you guys are ganging up on me here as if I was tried like a witch at the Salem Witch trials. I've explained myself to the best of my abilities, and I'm done here.

The hazing continues. >:(

In some cases, yes, it is highly frowned upon. From experience, Roman Catholics will freak out if you eat meat on Fridays or Christmas eve. These are old school examples, but yes, that is true to some extent.

Problem is, there are so many varied beliefs now, it's hard to nail one specific belief's etymology. Some people adhere to the new testament and others are strictly old testament. Some people claim that the King James Bible is the only version you should read. There are even people who do IN FACT follow Christianity but do not believe in god. Google it. There's a lot of search hits.

Problem is, you get one sided, simple minded people like that crazy woman who refuse to listen to someone's opinion and immediately freak out and disapprove your stance.

And I really don't see how my comments are insensitive. In that case, let's bash Basara for assuming she's a Mormon or Jehovas Witness without providing proof.

I'm not being passive aggressive. I'm trying to stay in context with replies while keeping in mind with what others are also trying to say. Religion is a touchy subject and the last thing I want to do is offend anyone. But you also can't agree with everyone either, so factor in agreement with a sensitive, varied topic like religion, there's ultimately going to be a lot of debate regardless of who says what. I removed that image as well.

Carry on.

Does the substance still taste like the shit of a pig afflicted with rabies, or are you just talkin bout the cain the video from the first post.? :P

The shit of a Pig afflicted with Rabies!! Thing is, I enjoy the taste with its zero sugar content. Its really the only variant I can stomach.

And above, I was stating fact with the whole geographical comment along with skull and crossbones society. Was I generalizing about religion and how it's forced on children?? Yes. But factually, religion, or even simple ideals, are forced upon children in some circumstances. Like this:

Hell, there was one time where during my early Jr year in Catholic High school, there was a friend of mine that was forced to believe in God by his parents. He had everything done upon him: Toys burned or thrown in trash because it was devil's work, had coffee enemas because he tried dating, you name it. He ended up running away from home with nothing but the clothes on his back and cash both saved and stolen from his parents. Haven't seen him since then. and to this day I wonder about him.
I am not a religious person, never have been and probably never will be. As much as I can tolerate for what you believe in there is a fine line for that. So please, to any of whom I trust here, don't go to the extremes. You will only make a fool of yourself and what you believe in.

Theism is a wonderful thing in the right circumstances and belief is definitely powerful. My point would be believe in the right thing for the right reasons under good, intelligible guidelines. Otherwise, we get people like the woman in the video above.

You're generalizing and being somewhat disrespectful. Just a heads up before this starts to escalate into something big.

I really don't see how I'm doing that. I'm just stating some facts. So instead of escalating this, I'm going to spoiler that pic. If anyone gets upset, I'll remove it.

To quote the video (which I had a hard time watching mind you) "This is how Satan gets into people's houses and breaks God's heart."

:omg:

I was trying not to let out a loud laugh while listening to her intricate rambling. While intricate rambling may be an oxymoron, she clearly put a lot of thought into her obscure point of view. I'm not taking her side, but rather looking at this whole thing from a neutral standpoint. She makes some interesting points, but she's clearly seeing how religious icons can form shapes that someone who has too much time on their hands can decipher.

If she's getting her panties in a bunch, then how about looking into how some say that the entire geographical location of Washington DC is rumored to have been built to resemble a pentagram in some shape or form. Does that now mean that all lobbyists and politicians are satanists who practice the occult?? New Haven CT, which is a literal 10 minute drive from me, features buildings from the Skull and Crossbones secret society that Yale doesn't talk about. And President George Bush apparently belonged to. Does that mean Bush is evil from a belief standpoint??

Oh wait!! Children should have to believe in God, even though there's no specific proof to show that he exists, and it's highly frowned upon if Christians don't believe in God in some shape or form. So what's the difference in believing in the Easter Bunny (which has Pagan significance to it), Santa Claus (Saint Nicholas!?), or the Tooth Fairy when there's no proof that these characters don't exist either??

I hear her point, but... she's clearly ignorant and not that well informed. She falls under this criteria quite well:

Let's remember that religious people aren't stupid, STUPID people are stupid. It's very easy to attribute an ignorant stance/statement to a belief system, but let's be honest: she would be just as idiotic without religion.

There's also a lot of good replies here. Apologies for not getting to/quoting all of them!!

Although more eloquently stated than Flow-boy, let's remember that religious people aren't stupid, STUPID people are stupid. It's very easy to attribute an ignorant stance/statement to a belief system, but let's be honest: she would be just as idiotic without religion. I say this from a non-religious standpoint myself, because tolerance can be difficult. (Not to drive this point to a religious debate, and I know you mean well Sai)

Best touche ever. Well said. Seriously.

And I'm not worried about a religious debate; to each their own. While I'm not a religious person by any stretch, I don't ever knock on someone's beliefs. I get angry with people like this women or people who try to shove religion down your throat.

Damn!! A few replies came in as I was typing this!!

That's a fine point Tetsuga and I agree with you. I've learned that Chucho is a double edged sword: On one hand you admire what he is doing with available materials (only videos, no current gen console or access to fighting games that he is basing his characters off of) because you really can see is his passion for all of this if you look at his releases just right. On the other hand, you sometimes wonder if he's either clueless as to what's up (Constantly saying Amigo!! or posting... his phone number) or doesn't care about feedback whatsoever because he clearly shows promise. The combination of these two principles leads to arguments about feedback and work ethic constantly end up turning on themselves. It happens rather frequently as I've seen other mods chime in on this. And multiple times too.

I admire the dude as much as I sometimes wonder about him even though I'm not a total fan. While I do wish he'd improve on a lot of things, he's built up a nice following and his fans seem to be happy.

Soooooooooooooooooooooo. Monster energy drinks are the devil eh? Better call me the Anti-Christ then cause I drink that stuff for a living. See, this is why Christianity Judaism and Islam should be banished from human society and existence. As much as I laugh at her she along with every other dumbass in this world needs to get their priority in check and wise up before they start doing stupid shit like this.

Great observation. I totally agree with you're saying in context.

It always makes me chuckle when I see mindless protestors like this woman, or say, people in front of a newly opened porn store go on and on about... things that are common in life, like sex or energy drinks. If rules like this (Energy drinks are the devil!! Eat meat on Fridays and you go to hell!!) actually caused people to go to a supposed hell, then Satan would quit due to massive overpopulating of his realm.

I really cannot fathom how someone would say what this woman is rambling on and on about. Because in all honesty, I seriously hit that fucking pause button when she made the correlation at 9 seconds. She made my brain hurt. But then again, people have seen the virgin Mary on a muffin or stop sign. :omg:

This is one of the best songs to come from any Kirby game ever. Right up there with Masked Dedede.

This just gave me goosebumps. ;D

System of a Down - Toxicity

Fuck yeah. That entire album is nothing but awesome.

I've been obsessing over GTA3's Rise F.M. Still one of the best mixes I've ever heard since I'm a trace/Techno junkie.

I'd like to point out that the link I shared provides both a clean track mix (no Andre the Accelerator or crowd) and each song separate!! ;D

Naming the stage.... Hmmm...

How about something like Sunset Landing Strip, or Sunset Carrier?? You could also go nuts with Top Gun references, like Sunset Maverick, Iceman's Landing, Wingman's Landing or Goose is Dead: Sunset Edition. :mmhmm:

While the Top Gun ones are more along the lines of jokes, you should defintiely have Sunset as the prefix and something to do with naval ships as the suffix. This is looking great by the way. I really like your progress. Keep up the good work. ;D
