Skullgirls fanbase actually hates Stanley thinking that HE'S the joke character.

They think he's the joke character? At least the playstyle for Stanley would be based on actual legitimate characters. Minette is like every weak ass joke character (save for Dan because Dan is awesome at what he does and wouldn't stain his name with this character) rolled into one.

A lot of you are salty about how the voting has gone and it seems that Lab Zero notice.
In this week's survey there are questions about changing how the voting will work for the next character.
I don't quite remember what the questions were but you should go vote to vote to make your voices heard.

HP Lovecraft and his Cthulhu Mythos have inspired many, and Skullgirls is one of them!
The entirety of Little Innsmouth is one massive tribute to the fishiest town in horror stories, and it's people are a wonderfully fascinating bunch of characters!

It's no less than right for the town to have it's own representative in Skullgirls, and Minette, the waitress, is the prime candidate for the job!



Despite being the daughter of the River King himself, Minette has quite a humble job as a waitress in Yu Wan's restaurant. Despite the cozy job, she has to tend with quite a nasty bunch of bad guests, be it mafia members, or purely racist morons. Despite this, she keeps making her customers happy, even giving away food to passers-by. Just be careful with the tip...

So what are you waiting for? Let your inner fish speak to you and give her the spot she deserves over that Cleopatra and Sailor Moon wannabes!

Please let it be Annie or Eliza that wins this.  Aeon's save state bullshit will be reduced to an unusable gimmick to balance it for playable build, and Minette's going to be a brain dead zookeeper the likes of which we haven't seen since Omega Tom Hanks, with a tacked on level up gimmick.

Did they even discuss who could make it into the MC vote before hand? I didn't think it look that way when the Indiegogo went up .Mike looked as surprised as anyone as to which characters were in the silhouettes at the time.

IIRC, the reason Aeon and Juju were on the list was because Alex made it, thinking that they wouldn't raise enough money.

I know two colleagues who don't even play fighting games but are fans or the art style, or the story (I don't even know) and that's precisely the reason why they voted for her. That and she was featured in one of the endings I guess? (Nothing wrong with that) But one specifically mentioned liking boss characters, so...
