The whole concept behind them was not thought out very well at all. The game would have been better off giving more in-depth movesets to everyone and more thought into the game. The end result is a lot of the older characters feel like they were better in other incarnations, especially everyone's favorite super shoto.

Okay I downloaded the one that was linked to and I have to say...seriously *this* is shit.

I mean really, you people thought this thing was GOOD? Wow, low standards guys, low standards.

+The sprite work is very nice.
+Some of the moves show nice ideas
-Almost ALL the clsn is horrifically messed up. This leads to multiple errors.
-Almost every attack has issues. QCF+Attack projectile for example has no CLSN2.
-The voicework is shoddy. Really. Shoddy.
+However at least we can make out what he's saying. Somewhat.
-What the hell makes the QCFx2 super even seem like a viable idea? He attacks the opponent JUST to shoot them with a missle from the batmobile? Where's the thought process in that?
-And why does the music play if the move doesn't hit?
+Kudos to the music though.

Seriously this thing...good lord.

Mature and Vice were never killed off in the ending.
They were beaten up and were still talking when Iori was leaving.

Yet as strikers don't they "blink out" like all dead characters do in KOF2k?

Malin would probably give the game a little something at this point.

It is odd though to sprite Mature like this...they wouldn't do it without some plans of reusing her later I'd think. It's kinda stupid to make sprites for one sho--

If I find something cute then it's cute. That's all there is to it.

I'm pretty much the same way here: if it's something that can make me laugh and smile, then I enjoy it. It's the reason I do things like keep stuff like that Konata in my mugen roster. I've seen about 30 mins tops of the actual show and didn't like it, but the SF parody made me laugh and the character works as a homage to it.

In contrast there are a LOT of anime shows I can't stand no matter how "cute" they try to be. Haruhi comes to mind fast because essentially it's a pointless show featuring a God-mode girl that proceeds to torture those around her while Kyon is railroaded to love her. And yes don't give me this fangirl crap, that's pretty much how the whole show came across to me when I payed attention to it. Haruhi is a Mary Sue. The characters around her were the interesting part of the whole event and only reason I begrudgingly went along with watching the thing.

This thing feels like the bastard child of Rock and Goenitz. Maybe it's what happens if Geese were to get freaky with Goeniko? Who the hell knows.

Either way it's a bundle of crap. The edits are not that great, and the gameplay is very typical of other works found on that site. And yet disturbingly it has fanart already on pixiv.

Unless you're selling it it's highly doubtable you need to worry about copyright issues with the characters you use.

-Her stance moves way too fast, looks odd as hell, walk anim too
-Because the hitboxes don't extend as far as her width, she jitters up a storm when walking up against a character, even when dashing against herself.
-Standing MK looks strange: the anim implies a forward movement, yet there is none.
-Crouching MP looks similar, but a solution would be to move her back as she does the punch
-She sometimes screams twice when hit
-Voices come out with different quality and tone at times.
-QCF+P move has a bigger hitbox than one would expect. Also no clsn2 around it?
-QCF+K looks rather forced...so does QCFx2+K...
-Why is QCFx2 used in specials at all?

More feedback later. I'll be honest I kinda expected better...

Basically he was hit or miss. I like Duke, Mignon and Xiao Lon, and hope they keep the designs around. Plus Armor Ralf was hilarious, and MI2's bonus games were worth it (Metal Slug).

There's a lot I could say against his designs (poor Mai), but that'd be beating the old ground everyone else has before.

This character sucks, and that's from someone that likes tolerates the game.

It's a compilation of bad ideas, complete with Rouga sprites in the SFF file for no reason. And why the .42 scaling instead of .5?
