Only tested him for a few minutes, but right off the bat he suffers from infinite priority on all of his attacks. He also has poor clsn in general (theres no need for his standing animation to have 5 clsn boxes when 1 or 2 will suffice). I suggest consulting a few of the clsn tutorials/guides floating around here. Other than that, he doesn't seem too bad at first glance.

Ok I will work on those issues.

What gameplay does he have? It's accurate to the game source or it's original with new moves?

Many of his movs are still charge. But they work a little different. So I would say he's original with new moves.
-
He looks good! It would have been a better dession for his special moves 2 be as a motion and not charge move. Charging is 2 slow.
-
...Oh, god, what the fuck did you do to Dee Jay? D:
Infinites all over the place, his controls are really sloppy, his Jackknife Maximum is unblockable, (I noticed the computer do this, I wasn't able to pull it off because of how sloppy the controls felt) I'll be quite honest, this still needs a lot of work.
The high-quality SFA voiceclips are nice, though.
-
Instead of whining about infinites, how about you TELL HIM HOW THEY ARE DONE so he can fix them?
Honestly, people bitch about inifnites and not even bother to elaborate :|

Hey furrynick, I did that with Guile but some ppl didnt llike that to much. So I tried to keep DJ as a charger. His Jackknife maximum has an easy quarter circle motion.

Im not real sure what SkieTheKitsune, means when he says the Jackknife is unblocable. None of DJ's moves are like that. I dont believe in unblocable, and I'll never make a character with one. It may have a little chip damage. But even thats small. Yes I will keep working on him. He's fairly new. And Im not sure what he means by infinates MC2 ? But I'll go back to the drawing board and look at his combos again. Mabey I missed something ?
-
He's basically saying Dee Jay has infinite combos that can be done forever until the opponent's health is empty. But he's not bothering to tell you how the infinites are done, and unless he does that they are impossible to fix. Which is why I snapped at him.

I don't really know y would they complaint bout that. It is very clear that doing u character with a motion comfiguration and not a charge configuration is clearly a better option. Is not only easyer to perform is also faster. I'm having a hard time doing some of his spercial moves also. I read some of the feedback in here and there are complaints about hard to perform moves and choopy control. I may not be the only person having problems doing some of Dee Jay special moves
-
Dee Jay has always been a charge character though. It makes sense for him to have Charge moves.
-
Yeah, if you're having trouble charging you just need practice. It ain't that hard when you get the hang of it. And actually, charge moves come out faster than QCF ones once you learn how.
-
I will test your Dee Jay. ;). The same i can help you with a feedback.
EDIT
I think you would start increasing the speed of the character in general, it seems that I'm playing at -1 gameplay speed. In Movelist Holdback+a is wrong, is Holdback+b. Can be a nice char. ;)

ok MC2, thanks for clearing that up, I'll have to check the hitpause coding. Mabey some attacks need more pause time.

Thats what I was trhinking. I thought ppl might get angry if he was not a charge char.

Ok I'll be sure to keep all of those things in mind. And your right, its charge + B. I'll have to edit his move list.

Well i have been playing with fighting games for a really long time and i don't think that all of a sudden i need to get the hang of it to do a charge move. Also know that Dee Jay always been a charge character. I thought since u have the options the creator would pick motion over charge BC is faster & easyer with motion. I may change the configuration from charge to motion my self. I haven't done this in a while let's see if remember how to do it. lol!

Quick fix for Dee Jay's Max Out super. Made on 8/31/2010
-
Feedback:
- Blockwhore Ai. Its meh.
- Misaligned hitboxes on his fireballs. Also the fact you can't destroy them properly.
- Speaking of hitboxes, many of his hitboxes are too much or disappear in mid animation.
- You can't do several of his charge moves properly. Especially his supers.
- Virtually little to no cooldown leaving in him immediately throwing you one after the other and things he should not be able to do.
- He is invulnerable during his fireball super.
- Unecessarily big life and defense.
- His counter animation? Its nonexistent. His lightning hits immediately with no indication whatsoever.
- His pushback? non-existent.
