Hm...something feels a bit...off...about Sephy. Not sure what, I can't pinpoint it. >_<

I really like the Reno and Rude though, and that Cid is fantastic! Rufus is pretty simple looking, didn't want to deal with the massive amount of belts from the Remake? : V

Hm...something feels a bit...off...about Sephy. Not sure what, I can't pinpoint it
His pose is similar to SamSho's Haohmaru, a short muscular stocky character, whereas Sephiroth is tall and slender.

Many ideas are applied properly, like colors and shapes and style, it's just off model.
All the good stuff is already there. If the legs are made longer, he still looks cool

This KOF XIII have been well converted



I post it here, not sure it's accepted in CVS style, anyway...
Ahrimanes base of Orchid.

It's a lazy edit to make her somewhat a mixup of her KI1 and KI2 style. + custom palette.
I always liked the leotard type suit on her. I think some CS can give similar results.

I also scaled her down. even if mugen do it very well with characters when using higher resolutions...

Looking at that sprites reminds me she breaks the 5 shades of a colour rule because her sprites do the sfzero thing of having the back leg use darker colours.

When you compare her non-resized sprite to Mai in more straight pose, they are about the same size.

Oh, yeah, you're right. (my scalling maker her look like a kid ^^)
Even considering Orchid have feet apart compared to stand Mai, Orchid is still too short with my scaling.
This is why it's better to leave it to mugen scalling options, so you can adapt it to any common size needed in the game.

But I still think this Orchid spriteset is slightly taller than CVS characters size.
But not need a big scalling like I did.

I think it's more about her feet/legs positioning. It looks like she's standing on her toes. There's something weird about those legs in general. I would arrange them differently.
Maybe I'll give it a try tomorrow. Now I need some sleep ;)

Orchid is taller than mai ; mai is 5'4'' while orchid is 5'6'' to 5'9'' (she still grows a bit from ki1 to ki2 to ki2013). thats from 5 to 12.5 centimeters taller.

Yes, I checked efter this previous message. ^^;
But I still feel like the size is strange in this Orchid spriteset.
And I think when she walk and attacks she even looks "bigger"
But it's on,ly my perception, even if I know she's taller than Mai

I just wanted to mess a bit with Orchid's legs shading, but I went little further eventually and decided to add some more KI2 vibes to her.
