Hello. I'm working on a crossover MUGEN game project called "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure VS Street Fighter". An idea that I wanted to do in 2020. For the story, it will be taking place during the Stardust Crusaders and Alpha series. Anyways, I'll talk about what this project is going to have.



Gameplay and Features:

All characters have 5 basic buttons.

All Street Fighter characters will have the same gameplay style as JJBA characters.

During the fight, all characters will have an animated ingame portrait that shows when they are attacking, doing nothing, and getting hurt.

Every character (not all) will have a special intro against their enemy. (example: N'Doul VS Dhalsim. N'Doul uses his stand to attack Dhalsim, but he counters by using his yoga fire)

When winning a game at max health, the "PERFECT" animation will appear.

If you escape from a throw, the "TECH HIT" animation appears.

Some characters will have a blazing fist match if their special moves are attacked at the same time.

There will be new 3 characters in this game.

The 3 new characters are Yuriko Hibiki (Dan's sister, and based off from Yuri Sakazaki (KOF). Yuriko will use Sakura's sprites as a base, and her SFV Japanese voice ), Lisa Lisa (a remade version with her own unique sprites and moves), and Kei (Sakura's friend. She will be an unplayable Shadaloo Doll during Sakura's story, and use SFV Akira's Japanese voice).


Here are the basic controls:

x: Low Attack
y: Medium Attack
z: Strong Attack

a (JJBA): Stand On and Stand Off (Press it again when you're on Stand Mode to turn it off) or a unique move (for character that don't have a stand mode)
a (SF): Unique Attack

b: Dash Escape
c: N/A
s: Taunt

I was going to add an alternate costume for Chun-Li (dragoon316's version) (which it worked after putting the palno codes into her stance states), but when the next round starts, it reverts back to its original costume for a few seconds. I had to leave it unused since it was too hard to fix the bug.

And yeah, the project looks pretty neat, even though I think it would be better to think of Unique moves for SF cast too isntead of Custom Combo. OR, even better, let the BOTH sides have a Custom Combo on C you have unassigned. Good luck with your project, pal!
ALSO, about Second Costumes: just a suggestion, but I think you could use MugenHOOK and its ability to put multiple characters in one slot to change with double-click with Start to change them. Just a suggestion, if you're doing it on 1.1.

Just to clarify: that Denjin Hadoken animation actually is from N-Mario's Ryu. Please, fix the credits.

Thank you! The credits are now fixed. For the custom combo, I'll try adding some unique moves. The JJBA side had a custom combo, which is called a "tandem".

Some changes for JJBA VS SF:


- I edited the Ryu's Shin Shoryuken as a non-counter move. Before I edited his move, I wanted to make it as a counter move, but when using it on high mode DIO with his stand on, there's a clone of him after the first part attack.

- Updated Ryu and Chun-Li's palettes.

- Updated the special intro between Ryu and Jotaro.

- Reverted Ryu's stage back to its original because I didn't like the colors that I edited.

- Ryu's theme is changed.

- Ryu's voice is changed.

- Removed custom combo for Ryu and Chun-li and not adding to all SF characters because it wasn't accurate to HFTF's version (tandem).

What do you mean "him"? If you mean KFM (Kung Fu Man), then he's not here. For Chun-Li and Cammy, no. I haven't finished up the character roster yet, but there will be more than 2 female characters.

Dude that logo just looks so crisp, I love it. It doesn't look like it was just a few PNGs and JPEGs thrown together. Even if it's something simple it's got a lot of charm lol

And I love when MUGEN projects have charm, even in the little details.

Thank you man. I wanted to make a good title something like this during the development. I have been busy since I was updating some of the characters to give a bit accuracy on gameplay, and making new animations for ingame stuff (such as "Round 1" and "PERFECT"). It's okay if you missed updates on this thread also.
