I honestly prefer SF or any other fighting game related content than KOF content for this reason, it always look the same. and Im also someone who doesn't like Giant rosters so Its kinda hard to find a KOF screenpack who doens't have 300+ slots

Have you though on making more details on the body?

Well those animations are still a wip, that's why they looks so empty, but he has some details.

I finished his Standing Normals

Now I'll move on to his Close normals and Jumping normals

but his crouching normals... turns out the "scorpion pose" he has in FFR is actually his crouching animation.
I had crouching animations done, and those are more "normal", but I had the idea to make a different set with his Crouching animation and normals from FFR, so if someone want to make their own char of El Gado they can choose if they want to give him a more vanilla crouch or his Scorpion Crouch from FFR (also you can move forward with that crouch)

You got to emulate FFR? That's awesome news. Even more autenthic moves into the mix, that's cool.

That's exactly what I want!

In fact, now Im trying to replace the old normals that I traced from other characters like Yamazaki to his actual normals from FFR.

Medium Kick:

High Kick:

And a dive "punch", similar to Dhalsim's, Necro's or Menat's

I finally manage to emulate Final Fight revenge and now Im taking capture of some Moves he has in that game (as best as I can since there's no training mode, I think)

Same here, I would go for the 2nd, for a throw escape.

About the midnight bliss sprite.
The sprite is good!
Again, the only real problem I see is how the muscle/body definition is made through shading. (does it makes sense?)
Fixing the shading in skin area would make this sprite more "polished"

Also, I noticed you usually draw very big calves to your characters.
This is obvious here. And I noticed it first in your Abel's sprites. (and others)
Usually, capcom gives slightly less thick calves compared to thighs, particularly for female characters. (just like in real life)

I'm glad to see this project is still updated in a great direction.

Oh yeah that's true xd, I need to tone down the Calves for now on, and also I need to practice more the shading, I did that with the Skull Cross gang, using Street Fighter Alpha as a reference.

Also, Felo_Llop fixed the Midnight Bliss sprite and he gave me permission to add it in his spritesheet.

Good team works!
Also, I usually points what can be better, but sure you did incredible progress in a bunch of weeks !

Thanks, honestly Im surprised that I manage to make so much progress in all of this time, specially knowing myself, I use to left projects to start others in a matter of weeks.

Besides this, I was making some POTS characters, I only shared Birdie but I had a nearly completed POTS char of Franco Bash. I also tried to make a new POTS version of Dee Jay like I did with Birdie but it was really difficult so I scrap it, and even if I stopped posting stages and Im not planning to share those anymore I still do some for my own personal games.

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been busy with work and other stuff, but I shaded some sprites from time to time, I just want to have something interesting to share.

for example a random sprite for his Midnight Bliss, inspired by Mary/Eliza from Final Fight 2

Nice! Looks Pretty Good!

Take your time! This project is going quite well!  :bjugoi:

((BTW, what program are you using? Fighter Factory?  :???: ))

Thanks you ^^

also, for the sprites? Im using Paint Tool Sai 2, its not a program focused in sprites but its the most confortable I have

Honestly I can't tell what happen time ago that nobody has helped you, but in my case each time I asked for help and feedback I received it, even in Mugen Archive. and like 6 months ago I didn't know anything about character creation, but I learned by looking at other chars, so now I kinda have a idea of what to do.

As they said, Probably you should share each character, and once you finish it polishing him go for the next one (and maybe left Abigail out because the resourses avarible aren't to good to begin with).

You dont have to retire or stop doing what you do, you dont even need to scrap this game, just polish what you have, and it will be a decent game.

btw, thanks for using my stages, I appreciate a ton.

What's a good command for "Spamming a button"?

Im editing a char of Dee Jay and Im having problems with his Machinegun Upper, the idea is that he changes his animation if you spam a punch button.

What is a good command to make that happen?

I've been working on this game very very silently, THE ROSTER IS COMPLETE AND DONE!

I just have to work with all the AIs/finish the SFV Ken spriteset and then everything will be good!

That looks sick!!

But I wanted to ask, where did you found that stage? I saw someone using it and when I asked that he ignored me xd

I wish I can do that, but that's what I had, and I can't make one myself because when I add a new sprites from another char, even if it has the same colors, it just get screw up with the palettes. until I found out a way to fix it I'll have to keep it that way.
Just using the same colors isn't enough. They also have to be correctly indexed.
Birdie doesn't seem to include a template palette, but maybe this can help at least a bit.

I'll take that into concideration for future chars, I also want to make another version of Dee Jay for example.

On a different note, the "The negative edge version of his d,f+P special always does the LP version." I dont know how to fix it, I'll try to do it before reuploading the link

I've wake up and started improving the stuff you're saying

Quote
Seems like a good start so far, but a lot of the frame data & hitboxes on the moves feels off, & the supers do way too much damage.
(I also prefer the charge motion Street Fighter Alpha had for Bull Head as opposed to the QCF motion Street Fighter V does, but that's just me, personally.)

I've started looking at that and Im trying to see how can I improve it, I also lowered the damage of not only his supers but some specials too.

Also, I tried to change Bull Head from a command move to a charge motion move, and I'll say I like it more, so now its just like in the Alpha Games.

Quote
PS: Have a chance for you put the original badaboom fonts in text of Supers?

I can do and I'll probably do it, I just wanted to add a bit more personality if different characters has a different font for their supers, but I guess the Badaboom font its just too iconic for POTS character.

Quote
Unlike your preview screenshots, the effect for his lv3 super doesn't have transparency for me for some reason.

That's weird, I tested it in 1.1 and 1.0 Mugen and it worked fine, but if its something that happen in a lot of cases I'll replace the effect.

Quote
I recommand to edit his feet position during bull horn (anti air move)
would look more natural (right now, looks like he's standing in mid air)

A move list would be useful ^^

I wish I can do that, but that's what I had, and I can't make one myself because when I add a new sprites from another char, even if it has the same colors, it just get screw up with the palettes. until I found out a way to fix it I'll have to keep it that way.

Also, yeah, I feel kinda dumb for forgetting a Move List, I'll include it once I update the link

Sorry, I though this was in a finished state, I'll work hard to fix him.
