Now her LOOKS, that's disappointing. On that leaked drawing she indeed looked much better. At least I expected a better stature from her, being pretty tall and thin, yet body-wise she is short and rather default, in a realistic way. Not a big deal, though, compared to her head, the way it looks somehow reminds me of all racist stereotypes about chinese at the same time.

Basically that...

I really felt like she would be refreshing and nice after "all" the "weird" (crappy) female choices of SF6 (lazy to find exact words in english)
Now this is just one more weird one.

What a waste of her original 2D design.
And I still freaking hate her haircut in 3D and ugliest female face ever made. even Manon(Who?) looks kind of good compared to her.

I think I will start to accept this abomination of 3D character when they announce the next hideous female character in SF6... in the future.

This kind of stuff really makes me regret 2D even more.
But I like her clothes, I kinda like her moves.
She's just disapointing me so freaking much.

What a great treat !

Not tested yet, but everything looks so good here.
I like the fact Neo Geegus is available!!

Again, I don't see any major flaw, everything is pretty well done.

The only thing I would tweak is Neo Geegus's transformation taking random characters with very different graphics style like KOF.
It clashes a bit with the game flow in term of sprite and animation.
I know it was the work of the GREAT Hiram Yagami, but for a WH themed game I would have edited the character to use only WH character, or at least SNK/ADK classic fighters sprites (taking them from Fatal Fury, WH, AODK... perhaps from SF2 and Karnov's Revenge...)

I'm usually not into these Hi Res characters style, but this original one was actually a great surprise.
The gameplay is fun, the personality stuff very interesting, and I liked the overall design and sprite/animation quality.

Really a fresh character for Mugen to enjoy.

Big thanks to Hexioum for the base for this! I would say this works a lot better than the original, yes? The hair is a nightmare to do on smaller sprites, but does it look good?? I feel the back of the head is too far away from the head?? And the "shawl" part isn't spread apart enough, and the diamond isn't at the right angle??

I haven't really been using any sprites as reference right now, though Celica's been sitting there in case I need her.

Very interesting project.
I know nothing about this custom character, but the body proportions are pretty good.
I like how it's made.





I would say maybe rather than using the specific sprite of Jam as the drawing you're drawing over, since the pose you want is the Menat one from what I understand, maybe look for some of her other animations to use as a base, similar to frankenspriting maybe you can combine parts of her different animations to get what you wanted, like this one for the upper torso has some useful frames, you could even flip her right-most hand here to even have it facing the same way.

I'm actually very curious about the source of these Jam animations/rips.
Are there some resources for GG Xrd ?

Yes, I think this maki have some effects changing depending on the palette of character.
I just want to avoid losing too much of the palettes set (act) compatibility.

The character have that in def file : mugenVersion= 1.0

I'm testing in mugen1.1 usually.

Hi.
I'm trying to tweak Knuckles8864's Maki's SFF.
Making some tests of CS, I'm needing one more slot for colors CS. and also for details / design editing.
Perhaps needing more slots later...

the point is that all slots are taken by special effects.
I'm not sure if I can use these slots, I'm not that good with palette work but perhaps they have their own palette as well.



Or perhaps I can delete 1 ot 2 very similar colors from the effects, editing the effects sprite so it use less colors.
Then using these slots for sprite details editing...

What would you recomand me ?

I never thought the first ACTUAL DELTA RED CAMMY for Mugen (beside of SSF2) would be 3D based.
Since all the other versions lacks many details (boots etc.) or animations

Will you plan to include both SF4 and SF5 animations ?

idk if i will rip moves from sf4 for cammy, in this case i preffer sfv, anyway is just change the model, hard part wat done



Her SFV animations are beautiful...
But she miss some very "signature" normal moves etc in SFV.

The model is nice!
I wonder if it already looks ok compared to Chun-Li or Ibuki perhaps...

The position of this leg looks strange in 2D, same for the shading on this leg.

I always keep in mind that the sading in Capcom games is not always perfectly realistic, but more like a way to highlight the body, volume and muscles of the characters.

Beside of that, it looks promising.

nop, to keep precision we must to reduce the color count, cause the shader need 16 slots each side of colors to work
so, every singel color take 32 slots to be rendered with that precision

I think some of the animations are a bit too smooth to match the style of Street Fighter 3, for instance cut down the number of frames in Sakura's stance by half so it matches the 10-12 frame average of Ryu and Chun-Li's stances.

sure it will be needed, but for some moves (turn, crouching, normals) we can just use a simple formula, if ryu had 2 frames with 4, and 5 ms, we can put one from sakura with 3 frames of 3 ms, if the active keep same, or repeat colision, it can seems more smooth, btw much things need to be reduced, like her palete that had 256 colors on mugen, and 64 in sf3

Also, seems like the new rendering have not enough strong outlines. -> giving the feeling of 3D model instead of actual line art to sprite.
She also lack of contrast (black tones) in hair area.

But the progress is good!

And face looks great for automated rendering!

this about contrast and outline is most about palete than shader, cause palete at this step had 256 colors, also, it will be reduced to 64
btw reduce framerate is a thing that i'm leting to the guys of codes, i beleave his skills, and we preffer to let more, than cut, than let less, and must render it again

biggest update since started

*new version of shader that had exactly 64 colors (63 + transparence) same as cps3 originals
*better physics
*faster engine of spriting
*less polish needed for finish sprites
*almost anyone from 3d era can be converted with same result level as sakura

Yes, seems like the outline thing is more like a palette work. So, it's OK to me.

Same for frames number, I REALLY like your idea to convert more frames, and the creator can select the best fitting frames.
This way the "transition frames" still can be used t ocreate frankensprites customs in the future.
More material, is always better!

I have to admit I liked her in 2D. REALLY...
But I expected more of a calm and deadly femme fatale than one more "Harley Queen crazy girl" type rip off.
Not sure of her 3D rendering either.

I like original characters, but her and Manon(who?) really get me out of this game.
I'm certainly too old-fashioned for all this stuff.

My hopes are for a comeback of Sakura (later... in the future...)


Still Ed and Akuma left, right ?
They may be great contents for the game.
