10 hit super combo only registering as 3 hits

hi i just made a super combo, 10 hits to be exact, but the problem is the hits arent registering propperlly on the left hand side in the game window, my character does a light punch, light kick, strong punch 3 times to make 9 hits(every hit is in a different state)
then a final uppercut to knock the opponent in the air....it does that fine but the hits say 3hit combo in the game window, why is this?
is it because im using the same 3 hits 3 times, i thought this wouldnt matter because im using a new statedef number per hit.
do i need to add hit add or something.

Just to show you why this isn't working.

Do the command in training mode, then after the first hit, begin holding back as p2. I bet he'll be allowed to block.

Once you've seen that in action, increase some of your hittimes. Should solve the issue.

so is the problem because p2 is allowed to block?
my hittimes are pausetime = 2,8

Well if you use say 4 of your basics in a combo you get 4 hits don't you. If you use 2, then pause till he regains control, you get a 2 hit combo, then another 2 hit combo. Thats essentially what's happening here. He regains control so the combo is over until the next hit.

Go try said fix, don't ask me if things are correct. You'll learn more doing than asking.

pausetime = 2, 20 p2 is stunned long enough on each hit to make the 10 hits in the combo
