Well it's divided in two parts and I'm stuck with a shitty internet, how wonderful.

Mind telling me how much is each part and how big is the total size?

Totally giving this a try when I'm back with my better computer.

And here we have it.

I'd first like to say it was a total pleasure working with Two4Teezee on this. I remember sitting at my PC, back in early May, for HOURS on end resizing 100's of PCX files and re-configuring endless .def coordinates just to make BrokenMUGEN run on 1.0 at 640x480 resolution. I had to do the right thing with asking Two4Teezee permission to do so, and thats where he got his hands on it. His excellent talents really shined through to add up to what you have sitting on your very own HDD. It was great seeing these additions run for the first time from the original author through scads of E-Mails found at 4am on my phone after the alarm went off.

Its great to know that I lent a hand at creating and updating something so well renouned and loved within the community. This brings back memories when I ran BrokenMugen on WinMugen for the first time back 4 years ago. Something about this SP in particular stuck with me. And now, here I am posting as a co-author on its true 1.0 release. Wow....  :lugoi2:

I hope all of you enjoy this screenpack as it is truly one of the greatest Mugen works ever created. Lots of love and passion for Mugen was put into every frame you see animated on your screen.

Have fun guys!!

I thank you for this release. I loved using this screenpack in the beginning during the old WinMugen days, and now I can enjoy it on 1.0.

Looks very nice.....want to try it out, but it doesn't run.  Odd, I followed the instructions right....I'm not the only one getting this, am I?

I keep re-reading the instructions to see what I missed... --;

Edit: Hmm, found it.  There are files that are overwritten that come with the download, but if you do not add those two, it runs fine.

It does indeed work. Remember that you have to install everything a little differently now that there are batch files. Here's what you do....

Download a fresh, untouched version of 1.0 and BrokenMUGEN. Extract Mugen 1.0 into its own folder.

Extract BrokenMUGEN, but like this: Place the 4 Batch files in the main folder with the .exe, CHARS and STAGE folders.

Place the bM1point0 folder in the data folder.

Click on a BATCH file, NOT the Mugen1.0.exe, to start.

Viola!!

Also make sure your BROKENselect.def is cleared out (Two4Teezee forgot to empty his contents) to what you have for your Mugen. Lastly, it looks like select screen portrait scaling within the [Select Info] portion of the 882.def file wasn't corrected. Make sure that "p1.face.scale" is adjusted to "1" instead of the ".5" I had it during testing phases. The other select.def's shouldnt have this issue, but if so, thats how you fix it.

I hope this resolves your issue.

  • You PC bro?
Hey, can I increase the localcord? Not sure if it's just the fact that my comp screen is too small, or what. The mode names are a tad off my computer screen, so I wanna see what I'm choosing. So what would you recommend?

I dont think so. Remember, the local coordinates (localcoord) are set to 640x480 by default. Setting it higher will shrink everything down as the native 800x600 is now going to display everything at 640x480.

Instead, switch over what resolution (not to be confused with localcoord) Mugen is showing through the Gamewidth and Gameheight settings in the Mugen.cfg under the [Config] Line.

I will do my best to monitor this thread as the weekend progresses. I'm off to sleep!!

Enjoy everyone!!

Worked fine for me, but maybe I wasn't testing the same slot numbers as the ones who had problems ?

As said before, great screenpack, packed with very good design and a HUGE BUNCH OF ANIMATIONS all over the place.

A little head's up to say this screenpack also contains the very first video of Vegeta in action. :ninja:
