Everything up to marvel 2 is in this collection with rollback netcode and a somewhat in-depth training mode. I think this was what won the direct for me

The other shoe dropped at today's Nintendo Direct : CvSPro, CvS2, Power Stone 1 & 2, Project Justice, Plasma Sword, SFA3 Upper (the one with Fei Long, Hawk, Guile, Dee Jay, Evil Ryu, not the one with Ingrid, Yun, Eagle, Maki), and also a pile of pixel trash because why not. For 2025. They also replayed the Marvel trailer (it showed Norimaro in the Direct but not in the trailer that's on Nintendo of America's channel), with added dates for the digital and physical releases (september and november).

I for one am SHOCKED that it uses the name Perfect Cell for his post-King Kai return and not Super Perfect Cell like it should.
Also I thought that they had started officially using child Gohan and kid Gohan or something in English some games ago, leaving teen Gohan for the one who is actually a teenager and not an adult (17), but here we are with the 11 year old version being called teen Gohan still. Oh well.

The kannabou, swinging the weighted end of a kusarigama to smack multiple targets, assisted involuntary seppuku... The new combat system looks nice and varied. I didn't see to much of stabbing people straight through the armor with a katana, which is always a lame take on sword fighting, so that's good.

The target info on the top left made me wonder if there will be a focus on actual ninja work after all, which was mostly about gathering info from locals and scouting where enemies and local lords were settled and / or currently sitting or disrupting a camp into a shitshow, none of it being assassination (again, the commentaries from the people introducing the video had the wrongest take on "historical shinobi assassination"...) I don't really expect it though, it's probably the bare minimum like the previous games, where chosing to have a pointer on the map or just gathering general directions wasn't such a big deal. Just walk in this general direction and you'll fall face to face with your target.
The comment they made on stage about "viewing things through the eyes of a foreigner" made me wonder if this is gonna cover the couple decades until William Adams shows up, given how they love to throw as many historical names as they can, but that would be late in the game.

"Samurais and shinobis are not the same thing so we had to split them" uh, okay, that's... the exact opposite of the historical truth. I know, popular fiction doesn't follow history and they're talking about the modern archetype, but that phrasing is so wrong its unfortunate.

The SFA2 stage was Gokuentou (hellfire island), the SF6 trailer names his new stage as Enma's Hollow, and I see the Playstation blog says Enma's Hollow is indeed on Gokuentou. I don't think I've seen that name used before. The blog also says he now carves statues of his defeated foes in the hundreds, which I guess is why he is now linked to Enma, who is the god of the dead / the entrance to the underworld.
That new face is really turning up the scary.
Uh, the blog also says the Ashura Senkuu is not invincible anymore and can be interrupted by an attack ?? And yet the trailer show him use it to evade a Shoryuuken.
Stealing SF4 Gouken's EX Senkuu Goushouha for a super seems a bit lame though.

Because that's most of the trailer they're putting out with barely a glimpse of something not from FighterZ what do you not understand
There were rumors that the cast would surpass Tenkaichi 3 and this trailer shows mostly FighterZ but in Tenkaichi which is what I'm saying, so that's a bit of a letdown on the hype
I'm not expecting the full roster reveal, I would have hoped for literally at least one character demo that we haven't seen yet. We're barely getting a blink.

Man, between these two episodes, that's a LOT of Disney money.
I'm glad they accounted for the previous faces in this new Doctor. Also glad they made this feel creepy and unsafe without bad jumpscares.

I can't believe they pulled the same card again... Feels borderline super vain. With the obvious bullshit excuse. Another plot to be forgotten and abandoned. I hope and assume they'll pay it off with 15 being a LOT more chill. All the namedrops felt just a little cheap though.

well that's 3 episodes where the Doctor is barely there and it's fucking fantastic anyway. 73 yards makes no sense (yet) but it still doesn't matter.
