Title: "PotS style" Kyo (new update - 12/09/18); Benimaru updated

I somehow managed to release two characters (Kyo and Chun-Li) in one month (http://network.mugenguild.com/jmorphman/?characters=kyo-kusanagi)... but it doesn't really count since they're both updates!

CHANGE LIST:
 - Total revamp/recode. Added a more extensive color separation. Overhauled sprites, damage levels, animations, hitboxes, and coding.
   Now (mostly) uses frame data/velocities/timings from CvS2.
 - Hit sparks reduced 65% in size
 - Added EXPLODsive Buffering system, projectile reflection, and compatibility with the Reigi no Ishizue super from Vans's Chizuru.
 - Many, many moves are now based directly on KOF, using slightly modified animation timing/velocities from those games.
 - Changed normal mode's default pallete to use CvS2 colors.
 - EX Kyo mode added.
 - XIII taunt added for normal and EX modes.
 - Added the KOF98 intro vs. Benimaru to normal and EX modes.
 - Added a winpose vs. Iori.
 - Forward/backward roll made more accurate to CvS2
 - Kusanagi mode can no longer perform Hourin; Honofuri is now performed with heavy punch, Kurogami with medium punch. Crouching heavy
   kick is now a sweep variant of 88 Shiki, ala KOF94 Kyo.
 - If command canceled into, Geshiki: Goufu You will only combo after heavy attacks
 - Can no longer juggle off of Hourin.
 - Pushback on Geshiki: Naraku Otoshi increased.
 - The 114 Shiki: Aragami and 115 Shiki: Dokugami rekka chains can now juggle off themselves.
 - 115 Shiki: Dokugami now has autoguard; 115 Shiki: Dokugami Kai now has a greatly extended autoguard period.
 - The total damage of the entire 115 Shiki: Dokugami Kai chain has been decreased.
 - EX 100 Shiki: Oniyaki modified to resemble KOFXIII more, though with many less hits.
 - 212 Shiki: Kototsuki Yo can now be canceled out of during Custom Combo.
 - EX 212 Shiki: Kototsuki Yo is based on the EX version of KOFXIII EX Kyo (a blockable, short-range attack with autoguard). Kusanagi's
   EX variant is a command throw, like the EX version of KOFXIII normal Kyo.
 - EX Aoki can now be juggled from.
 - The HitPauseTime on the last hit of the first portion MAX Mu-shiki was decreased.
 - Max 182 Shiki now has Kyo set himself on fire, ala Mu-Shiki, MAX Orochinagi, et. al.
 - HitPauseTime for the final attack in Zero Shiki was increased.
 - Flames that appear on opponent when they are hit now disappear after a firm, set amount of time, exactly matching the PalFX applied
   to them. (They used to disappear if opponent regained control, or hit the floor if they were knocked down). This helps with stuff
   like 114 Shiki: Aragami -> 125 Shiki: Nanase, where a oppponent is hit by a fire-based attack, and then a physical attack, so that
   the fire will eventually disappear instead of remaining on the opponent until they hit the floor, as previous versions behaved.)

also Benimaru was updated (http://network.mugenguild.com/jmorphman/?characters=benimaru-nikaido), primarily to update the Daimon helper, since Kyo changed a lot of his internal workings; the Daimon helper needs to know when and what kind of super Kyo is performing in order to correctly pause himself and change his palette to match the background PalFX, and because I reordered a bunch of stuff in Kyo, Daimon needed to be updated to match!

Also, I added a bunch of new stages to the Daimon config file... but only the stages I personally have. I ain't doing anymore! Only Mature4ever was kind enough to contribute to this mostly superfluous feature! YOU JERKS!!! >:[

EDIT: updated Kyo again:
 - Fixed bug that made Aoki impossible to super cancel out of
 - Removed error that prevented MAX 182 Shiki from being charged up if activated by LP and HP
 - Slightly extended the opponent's lie down time during Issetsu Seoi Nage
 - minor fixes to the EXPLODsive Buffering system

Given that it's become a sort of ritualistic step in my workings, I'll maintain support for your unnecessary necessary feature.  That said, I congratulate you on another exceptional update, kind sir. :tipshat:

I really only have one complaint as far as the update goes, and that's about Kusanagi's Aoki no longer being super-cancelable. I felt like having it be super-cancelable complimented the rest of his moveset, especially when you could go from Shiki: Kai to Aoki into Orochinagi. I might be the only one who has that issue, but I feel like removing that really limits what Kusanagi can do.

Does this happen for you with any other of my characters? What about Benimaru's grab super?

The hitspark on Issetsu Seoi Nage's second hit is behind the opponent after it hits [Edit: That was actually the ground effect I was seeing, it doesn't look like there's any standard hitspark at all, actually]. Also, they can get up very quickly and hit Kyo before he can get up, which actually makes that really unsafe.
Ugh, MUGEN and its incredibly stupid "instantly get up from knockdown if you mash buttons" thing. Well, I guess that still might be a problem even if Kyo is completely invincible until he returns to idle; I'll increase the time P2 spends on the ground before returning control to them, I guess.

Huh, that's weird, it still be in there... but it seems I made a typo and broke both normal and EX Aoki's super canceling! Fixed.

I'll wait another day or so, to see if anyone finds any other bugs, then upload an update.

It happens with Kyo and Demitri, I didn't tested with Benimaru.

The Kyo issue should hopefully be taken care of, but I'm not sure what to do about this. I know some people had problems pulling that move off before, but once they got the timing down, they were able to do it no problem.

The Kyo issue should hopefully be taken care of, but I'm not sure what to do about this. I know some people had problems pulling that move off before, but once they got the timing down, they were able to do it no problem.

Hi this happen to me also
I still remember when I download your ken for the 1st time i cant do lv3 supers since they need to press 3 fists or 3 legs

It depends on the keyboard you use.
some keyboard allow more keys to be pressed simultaneously
than others so thats why some can some can not.


So it triggered me to edit your ken
instead use 1 2 3 buttons to define level of supers
I used light medium heavy buttons to define the level of supers
this enabled poor keyboards to perferm lv3 supers.

For characters with any 3 button commands, I always (usually) try to include some kind of alternate command so that people who can't perform them on a keyboard can still pull them off; in Ken's case, his level 3 can also be performed with "B, DB, D, DF, F, 2p".

So, now I'm getting this message every time Kusanagi goes up against Knuckles8864's Orochi Iori.

Whenever the match starts, that error message appears. Both Kusanagi and Orochi Iori have their own slots in the roster, and it only happens with those two. Normal/EX Kyo vs Normal/O. Iori and Kusanagi vs Normal Iori don't give me that message at all. I know jack-splat about MUGEN coding so I have no idea what's going on lol

Edit: Another thing I just noticed relating to intros with Orochi Iori, both EX Kyo and Normal Kyo have a flame appear in the air behind him during their intros.
