Oh thank you that looks perfect, I'll try to apply those later on today. Thanks! EDIT: Decided to apply them now, because I won't have much time today. Thanks a lot deddy!
His body armor is also kind of droopy in the chest area. Let me know if you want me to illustrate it.

In the case of Hulk, I guess maybe Hulk himself and Abubo Rao from Rage of the Dragons could help as a reference. Thank you. Glad you like the Scrooge sprite. Graphicus said, February 04, 2016, 04:48:56 pmNow that I look at it, the one you made is much closer to the art I've seen. I'll apply it soon enough, many thanks.
How's he looking so far? Also about the portion in red, what should I do regarding the foot? Edit the heel position, shorten the foot, widen it, scrap it and do it again? And also if possible to say for both feet that would be much appreciated, as feet are my Achilles heel (unintentional pun).Spoiler: I just realized (click to see content)Applying the colors and shading scheme of the CPS3 style seems easier than getting the proportions/line art to be consistent with the style and look good/human.EDIT: Forgot to tag but @Matthew:
im really iffy about the color choices, its really bland and makes him look pale, CPS3 sprites usually have color pallettes that emphasize contrast and has vibrant, bright colors that make em pop, even twelve who is literally a white blob has really nice color usage
What colors do you think should be changed? Because I don't exactly have a PhD in CPS3 coloring (I do have one in Internet Retardation tho ).Remember, none of this is pretty much final, everything is being edited as I go along.
Eh, I can handle that. EDIT: Oh I should have said it earlier, but I solved the foot problem I was having. The Jimbo sprite is pretty much complete, all that's left are the guns and changing the aforementioned colors.
I did a very stupid thing; accidentally saved over the work file PSD instead of the PNG file I use to preview it, so pretty much fuck me. Oh well, @Matthew:With a complementary Sullivan Bean palette! (I only call them Jimbo Rizer and Sullivan Bean, because they were supposed to be the descendants of Bill Rizer and Lance Bean, if I'm not wrong).Any last feedback for Jimbo before I upload it to Tumblr??So here's all the CPS3 sprites for the requesters for those who want to catch up: From left to right: Seijuro Hiko (Rurouni Kenshin) - Uncle Scrooge (DuckTales) - Jimbo Rizer (Contra 3: Alien Wars)After this, it's redoing all old art work. Yes sir, from pixel art to digital paintings, it's redoing time!! I'll be updating my first page with everything I make, so you don't have to go all over the thread to search for something. EDIT: Forgot to mention, but thanks @deddy95: and @Graphicus: and @walruslui: and @MotorRoach: for the lovely help and feedback on Jimbo. You guys are awesome.
About Jimbo:- the weapon seems to be on a different layer (some fingers shouldn't be seen)... well, it looks weird to me.- The right arm's shading is kind of weird, refer to Alex (SFIII) for shading;- the hands look small;- you forgot to colour a pixel, look at his right hand. There should be the trousers colour.- SFIII sprites usually have the "bright" area and the "darker" area, respectively on the left and on the right of the sprite, to show the depth. You only did that to the lower body.
I see what you mean. I can fix those up. About the right (left viewer) arm, you're referring to the usage of the lightest shade, correct? That was intentional, because I was trying to emulate the action movie shine look (you know, Arnie in Alien ), but I guess I can work on that.
Alright, so I tried to modify Jimbo with the received feedback. After playig around with things, I only decided to apply the "bright"/"dark" contrast to the arms, kneepads and wrist pads, and left the shoes and chest out of it, because I got bad results from playing around with the dispersion of the shading. How does it look now? Anything else I missed or should be addressed?
