I actually kept the floor stationary, the pillars/wall/window are the moving elements; maybe that's why it's screwy.

Honestly, this was the first time I ever do a scrollable BG, so I just winged it.

the sidescrolling is way too fast for that movement, the backround should also be in reverse as he is walking forwards, which should make the backrounds actually go behind him rather than forward

It's moonwalking.

On to the animation, it seems its paws are kind of rotating. Look at their axis.

Hatter, I want to see if I can improve the scrolling. May I borrow the background you used for your Farfetch'd image?

^Nah.

@Ghost Killer: since you are the Eltnum expert, would you mind giving me some advice on what to do? Face particularly, because I'm having trouble making it similar to the UNiB sprite.

You can use her Melty Blood sprites for face reference.

Don't put so much shadowing on her face either. Her left (viewer's right) forearm needs to be longer as well.

Looks nice so far though.

Yeah, I saw it already, no need to say it twice. And no, I'm keeping it that way.

Actually, I drew it from scratch, after giving this a look, but that sounds like a great idea. Maybe I'll give Elena a look as well. The arm length, I can handle (I actually had the v.right arm longer before. D'oh).

Cormag complete. Well maybe tweaking is next, but now it's Genarog's turn to be worked on and polished up.

So I'm dead set on doing a Valter version of this sprite once I shade in Genarog (the wyvern). But I'm willing to do one more variation from any of the Fire Emblem games, on the grounds that it's a male Wyvern unit (it could be Rider, Lord, or Knight), and his concept art design is not drastically different than Cormag's (so that all I need to do is make a new head, and some appropriate color swaps).

Anyone have a suggestion for the third variation?

Uhh...

The only one that comes to mind that I like a lot is Gale, but his armor pads are pointed, so I dunno. Maybe Narcian if you want a challenge? Cause his hair looks a nightmare to work with.

Yo, I would love to sprite a CPS3 Narshen, but the fact is that his concept art shows he has more "costume" details than either Valter or Cormag that need more spriting (I'm doing a mixture of concept art/Wyvern Knight in-game sprite for Cormag/Valter), so I guess it's a no here, unfortunately.

Maybe at a later point, I'll definitely do Narshen. It would be a good chance to sprite a CPS3 Runesword. :3

Well anyways:

That dragon sprite is crazy. Pretty cool.
In my opinion, it could use a little more of work. Mostly in the nape, jaw and tail.
For the tail, you make more roundish, like this:

Don't know about the girl, CPS3?
What about put a little more of contrast in her legs, remove the the left pixels of both knees and maybe increase a little the width of her feet.
One day someone will rip the Inuyasha stages... Not today nor tomorrow, probably not even in this decade. But you know, someday... :')

Did you play the new

I'll make sure to apply the tail/back rounding.

As for the girl, yes CPS3, and I'll give that stuff a look. Thanks.

To be honest, she doesn't really look like shes in the same style. She's still too cartoonish, here's her compared to the more normal characters

Her body and legs are a bit too stubby and her arms are pretty skinny.
