The game is clearly called "Neo Geo X Capcom", yet you suggest your self insert OC which isn't related to either of them. Ryu didn't say anything about adding OCs to the game either, so maybe dial back on the "please add my fancharacter" requesting.

This is looking nice. Also, not that I'm mad that my work from the Modern Sonic Mania mod is being used, but I do wish you at least credited me for the rolling animation and spin dashing.



That and also credit Hortinus for the Forces styled spin frame. The Modern Sonic Mania mod is something Hortinus and I worked on together.

You should've also looked a bit harder for who made it, because that's an old sprite animation I made years ago, not this Doug guy.

This is the same guy who pissed off just about everyone in the Sonic fangaming scene by tying monetization and donations to his stolen assets game and has the delusional dream that Sega will ever show interest in his project and somehow hiring him and making the game official.

No sane company would hire a guy who constantly fights people on Twitter from any criticism driven towards his game. He's a walking PR disaster.

Ralf looks really good. Only thing looking very off to me are the hands looking too small and not clean or outlined enough to fit the whole style better. Definitely recommend you look at some CvS character sprites for reference on hand proportions.

...for real, you can just use the sprite I made. If you're just going to reference it, you might as well use it all the way so that way you're actually making use of all the suggested fixes I implemented to the sprite design.

The Dampir edit looks closer to being CvS styled, although there are still a handful of issues that make it not quite blend with the rest of the CvS cast, such as the hands not being quite outlined and big enough like CvS's proportions have it, and the lack of emphasis on the line detail itself. Compared to SNK's sprite style, CvS exaggerates some of the character's main traits and shapes notably more, so it'd help to make his hair's volume stronger to make it stand out more, for example.

I made a little edit of your sprite, in the hopes it'd be useful as reference for you to use in any other potential Andy sprites you might do. It's not entirely necessary, but for the sake of style authenticity, I also made it so his palette count only goes up to 15 colors, like every CvS character does:



(Shoutout to eFeX and DGO for their Andy sprites, which I did reference a bit)

Alright, this is what I made for a Beast character that I'm working on alongside Gladiacloud:



The line weight in here isn't as impressive or dynamic, but I did try my best to emulate the MvC1 style.

I can't believe I missed out on this thread. I'm loving everything I'm seeing here, as you really nailed the line work and depth of the arcade Bengus art. It just matches the MvC portrait sprites perfectly, and honestly, I could mistake it for something official!

Is this a personal art thread or can everyone else add something to it? Because I did attempt doing the MvC1 art style recently for a personal project of mine.

These are all really good. Although the Sonic sprite seems a bit too big for a Metal Slug player character (and too big for Sonic in general, since he's perceived as short), not to mention the skin anti aliasing and the outline as a whole seems not quite as solid for Metal Slug and could be made a bit more crisp.

It's a total surprise to see some God Hand sprite work, for sure. You also drastically improved Claw's animation, considering the original move was just a single frame from what I remember. And that fireball looks real fluid, I love it. Always nice to see more work from you.
