Love the detail of the light bulb instead of the power up animation Shingo usually has.

The actual coding part of character creation is the most fun and best part, and it went by far too fast. Especially compared to all the boring or frustrating stuff that came before. :qq:

Well, y'know... a EX mode of sorts maybe could remedy this kind of situation; ::) even if his moveset changes through the KOF games are a bit more nuanced compared to Kyo's.

i was just waiting for some expert coder to get some kind of guard crush after a special!!

I've take some of your code and i've implemented it in my Sagat (and maybe in future Zangief), I hope it's not a problem for you (of course i'll give you credit)! :) :) :)
As mentioned in the readme, it's from Karma's Rugal. I just made some minor modifications.

His moveset changes are so exceedingly minor over the years that I just don't think it's worth it. Outside of 2003/XI, I guess, but practically everyone had some kind of big change in those two games—they were throwing a lot of stuff at the wall and not all of it stuck (but good on them for trying). And I don't think the Shingo stuff is gonna stick when he finally reappears after like 15 years in XV's DLC.

I was thinking maybe an EX Shingo would swap out the counter & level 3 grab for Air Shingo Kick, command roll, & the LDM version of the RDP kicks, & change the EX properties of the other specials (like a Shoryu Reppa style DP where he falls at the end), but at the same time, that might be just sort of feel like moveset changes for the sake of it.

hello, the forums might be dead, but I'm not. And, in fact, my drive to make MUGEN stuff has finally returned to life too.

I am currently trying to finish an update for Chun-Li, bringing her in line with Joe and Kyo (and Shingo) as my most up-to-date and "complete" characters. I hope to get to Ken next, and maybe finally finish my long delayed updates to Vice, Guile, Kim, and Rolento.

And at some point I will be transitioning to IKEMEN full time; I had once thought it would be nice to essentially wrap up everything I had left to do in MUGEN (all those old updates, essentially) but now I really don't give a shit, and so am not planning on a graceful transition or anything like that. It's just gonna be all exclusively IKEMEN stuff from me soon. Because IKEMEN is cool. IKEMEN is the future.

Do you plan on preserving the mugen versions of your characters in some form when you do switch over to ikemen? I get that ikemen is kind of a "gold standard" now with all of the stuff it is able to do compared to mugen, but there will be some people who still work with mugen for one reason or another, whether it be that they cant actually run ikemen or they just prefer the older and more restricted engine. In either case it'd be good to have the legacy versions available.

But wait!  You haven't read my pitch on a KEN mode, where Ken gets the abilities of everyone named Ken in existence that would make Ken the most complete Ken that has ever Ken in the history of Ken!

When the big WinMUGEN -> 1.0 switchover happened, I just plowed through and overwrote the original Win versions, not bothering to keep a backup. This was not specifically on purpose, but it was also not not on purpose, I guess?

Anyways I will try to remember to keep the old versions stashed somewhere but it's personally not a huge priority to me, so caveat emptor.

unless you want to update vice for the sake of this thread by commenting her like what you mentioned in the said thread while you update her:
I'll be doing Vice and Geese. Might update Geese's projectile code while I'm at it.
or maybe you and the admins decide to have a similar starter pack for ikemen go  :P
