It's interesting that there aren't many metallic references in SF3 sprites. Most of the characters wielding weapons have them covered by blinking effects (Ibuki) or not really still on-screen to see the detail.

The only reference I could find is Dudley's car in his intro and the shading seems surprisingly simple. Mainly the headlights and other chrome-colored parts.

Last but not least: I know you're just playing around, but I really hope you don't go with option number two. LOL.

Dudley's car is mostly where my head was too. There is also Hugo's pants, they look pretty metallic with the right palette, which is what I used for Megaman in my avatar.

I'll give another look at CvS M.Bison when I get home.

That second one was kind of a joke but it's really growing on me! It's not what I plan on going with though. Lol

The glimmer is a neat touch, but I'd recommend making them independent of the animation so they can be randomized to a degree and also not simultaneous.

what kind of sorcery is this? good old fashioned copy/pasting parts, or a rotating-part program? :o

The head is mostly new hand sprited. Everything else so far is good old fashion copy/pasting parts.

I figured it'd be cool to see his eyes follow the enemy as they jump around. I will be making more of these for him too.

Dragon Ball FighterZ got me experimenting with dust animations. tried to get this one to change directions mid animation to go with his turning.

Messed with this overhead today. I should probably just go with Diepod's medium punch though because it's beautiful.

Could I borrow this and repurpose it for that one MegaMan Volnutt char (forgot the author's name)? I've been scouring for Chip K.O. animations and this one is too good to pass up. That is, if you are alright with it.

Sure man. I really just referenced Twelve though.

The Twelve reference is obvious enough, but it works so well honestly.

Thank you, you won't be disappointed. : ]

The overhead I made is rather stumpy and low, which prob works for Megaman. This one can be used on taller characters, and hop forward. I'm sure anyone would be happy to use them both.

a little progress on this. Getting a little held up because I just realized how annoying Mega's shading is... It's on it's way though.
