Meh, I think The Last of Us gets more praise than it really deserves. A fine story with some pretty average gameplay. I'm always baffled when people say it's one of the best games they've ever played.

Due to my waning interest in Mugen lately, I've found myself focused on creations made by The_None, which is the spark that gave me my interest in Mugen back. Because of this, of course I want to find more creations like his. I've downloaded a few "funny" characters here and there, but besides the obvious (Creations by Melvana, DrKelexo and 3ha) I haven't really been able to find any other characters that really match the ingenious parody-ish wit that T_N's does.

So I figured I'd make a thread which asks what characters would fit in with his the best.

As a first, I found the Ahuron's Mukuro was a great choice to start with.

This is a pretty informal thread, so feel free to post what you want.  Also, I don't really have any special rewards for its completion planned, I'm not much of a coder, or an artist, or a maker of neat things. But who knows, if this becomes a thing maybe I'll think of something.

Challenge #3 - David vs Goliath

Description: I think this next opponent is a bit taller than Bowser! Time to stomp him out! Try to beat him without using your "Super Mushroom"!

Description: I don't remember M.Bison looking or playing like this the last time I played Street Fighter Alpha 3. Defeat him without the added benefits gained from the POTS-Style engine!

I don't really know him or speak to him, but he is better at presentation than I. So that would pretty neat.

I was playing through the event matches of Super Smash Bros the other day. I'm actually doing it right now in fact. You gotta love the creativity that goes into the events, they're full of references and gags. Then I noticed that this forum doesn't have a whole lot of those kinds of challenges. MugenLord did some of these for a little while, but they weren't very good. They boiled down to beating pretty broken characters, and had no creativity to them. So, even though I'm "new" here, I figured I'd take a crack at it. Sorry for the flood of boring "start-up" text, let's get to it!

Challenge #1 - Gokus of Mugen Past

Description: Before Balthazar made the now beloved "Z2" styled Goku, there were two other characters that were considered Mugen's best Goku. Choujin's, whose sprites came from some old arcade game. And Xande Toskomics's, who modeled hd sprites from scratch. Time to show 'em who's boss!



Characters: Goku by Balthazar and Cybaster vs. Goku by Choujin + Goku by Xande Toskomics (Turns mode)
Stage: Doesn't matter.

Challenge #2 - TURN OFF THAT LIGHT!

Description: I hope that you're a seasoned POTS player, because you're going to have an awful lot of trouble seeing your next opponent!

 

Characters: Any POTS-Styled character (Only made by POTS and Jmorphman) vs. Shadow Lady (Palette #12 must be selected!!!!!)
