But the premise of the show explicitly precludes doing a JSA type deal, unless they make it set in the present day, and have it be unconnected to any JLA movie.

Smallville had room to put in a bunch of WWII era superheroes (with some minor retconning, but nothing major), but this doesn't. Or I guess it could do it but Hourman himself would not be a member. But I doubt they'd do that, because old people are gross and the current DC comics don't have a WWII era JSA either.

Yup. Definitely NOT buying that for a dollar.

I think what the new RoboCop is going to have a hard time trying to replicate is Murphy's inner struggle once he begins to reclaim his human personality. The 1987 film did such a phenomenal job with that subject and it made the film work. Very well. You also had a very convincing antagonist and a well written story to go along with those two things The new RoboCop, while a little interesting, is gonna fail on so many parts. I'm gonna see it for sure, but with expectations and comparisons turned off. Well, the best that I can try at any rate. ;D

The character designs are just really unpleasant to look at. I mean the other MacFarlane shows wouldn't win any character design contests, but this is just something else.

Hey now Republican Family Guy is supposed to be really good and I dunno I saw an episode a while back and it was good and MacFarlane has no involvement besides the voices anyways.

Last I heard it wasn't planned until 2016, so that Flintstones remake isn't due for some time.  Then again, I also heard it was going to be oriented for children, which seems weird when it comes to MacFarlane, so I could be mis-informed there.  All I know is Dino is bound to end up learning how to speak and drink martinis.

American Dad is easily the best of his shows, but that's not saying real much.

well, this one has two families so ti mgiht make it different; but the character designs are so bad that you can't even tell the chaarcter's ages apart, in the gringo family I can't really tell who is the wife and same for the husband in the mexican one ; the way I found out is that the the couples are facing each other.

Yeah... that is a strange and not very welcome twist.
But Angelina Jolie looks just perfect as Maleficent. A grand casting, I'd say.
