Added Dr. Doom's Ending. (1280x720  :sugoi:)

I literally spent an hour messing with the time values. I dunno if it's my screen pack that plays it late but it should be fully synched. I included a txt file with the index changes in case it is too slow on yours and you want to change the values. In the future I will include guides to change values in case of a slow ending.


Curiosity: Are you intending on doing more endings? Either Deadpool's or Dante's would be my top picks.
Yes I am. Next on my list might be either one or Vergil.

By editing the code I mean this.

In the state for a move, they have what is called a playsnd, as the name states it plays a particular sound as labeled in the playsnd.  All you would really have to do is add another, one to play the voice and one to play the sound FX.

great release. doom's ending next please :)  btw: 300MB for an ending takes quiet some time to load it. thats why I've downsized the sff-file to 22MB, hope its ok to post it here: Striderendingsmall
Thank you. May I ask how you downsized it? I'm fairly new to doing this so I don't know and there aren't a lot of tutorials that I have found.

Right now I am going in order of who is in my roster and Doom is in there so most likely I will do his ending. If anyone can tell me who doesn't have a MVC3 sound pack then I might do them next because off the top of my head I know that Firebrand, Arthur, Dante, and Vergil don't.

I liked it, it was just like in UMvC.
Thanks. There are some sounds missing like for his beat plane hyper. I was thinking of using his "Come on six machine" but that would be using the same sound that his blodia punch has. If anyone has suggestions I am totally up for trying it.

Just a heads up, if you decide to do Dante or Vergil by Bugya, their voice clips are in the same sounds as their weapons, so you're going to have to add two sounds for each instance, one for the voice clip and one for the weapon swinging through the air, and manually edit their code for it to work properly.
I looked through the sound file and I noticed that he does have gun swings with his voice so its all a matter of dual layer sounds for every voice but I am unsure what you mean by editing the code.

maybe because there are no pics man.  ;P
I will try to get a video to showcase both hopefully this weekend.

Ok so I fixed the problem with the sff but now I have a problem with positioning. The original video was 720x480 and I used RAD's video tools to convert them all to pcx files. I import them at 0,0 but in game it seems like it's zoomed in on one of the corners. Is there a place on def file that serves as the scaling percentage? Thank you.

Thank you for your response. I checked the sff file and everything seems to be placed at 0,0 (it's at the bottom right of the cursor if that is of importance). I referred back to the def file and I labeled it correctly. (They're both in the same directory) It still won't show up but I won't bother you by looking through it since you don't do it. Thank you once again and hopefully someone that has some free time can look through it to make sure that I did it correctly.

I have a couple of question so if you could please bare with me.


I am trying to create an ending for a Strider Hiryu (if it helps its Xzero's) character I have. I've made the .def and .sff files but the game only plays the mp3. Where did I go wrong when creating this? I've uploaded the files to see if anyone can help me.

Is there any way to make an ending Widescreen? I haven't tested it but I assume my current one is standard. I've seen a couple of wide screen endings or were those just edits?


I was playing with YoungKirei's Demitri and I was surprised to see that his midnight bliss attack was compatible with Phantom.of.the.Server's Guy. I thought that was pretty neat so I decided to see with who else his attack was compatible so I started checking sprites of other characters. I checked Anjel's Iori (2-in-one) and he has the midnight bliss sprites (him turned into a girl) but nothing happens in game. Is there something I could edit to make it work or is that something only the author could do?

EDIT: I checked the Iori in FF and he has the 9020 sprites and the animation(apparently) but it doesn't show up in-game. Is there a way to check if the animation is actually there?

If anyone could help me I would be grateful.
