If anything, if I could nitpick something is to make Earthquake gasp, opening and closing his mouth for air. Another comedic element.

Actually did this but didn't feel well integrated, I'll see if I can rework it a bit

I think one major problem with it is that the timing is not selling the weight very well like in the reference. Slowing down his steps in some frames would do wonders to help towards it, along with giving him more up and down movement. You can get away with moving his whole body up and down more, though you'd just need to readjust the posing of the legs to stay connected to the floor afterwards.



Also, made his belly bounce up when he steps up to give him a nicer sense of gravity.

Ehi everyone, thanks for the feedback.
For what is worth it, I didn't really reference properly and started working on this just by memory/idea( a mistake most likely).
At some point I realized it came out quite different and wasn't so happy, but felt it the result could have worked just fine on a character that has some comedic elements like EQ so I pushed in that direction rather than probably abandoning everything.
I suppose this expression "wanted to port his running animation to SVC" was really applicable to my initial feeling so I should have worded it differently.

These are some awesome portraits! Don't think I've ever seen someone else try the SvC character select icons before.
Thanks! Yeah I quite like the style, and haven't seen similar work either.

As SamSho got rollback a few months ago I have been playing Earthquake, so wanted to port his running animation to SVC, also have a very utilitarian transition frame in and out.

As I am fond of the SVC select screen, I tried doing some portraits in that style, started with my favourites in mind then went to less usual picks.

I love your boxer sprite so much. Really hope someone make full use of them someday.
Its cool to see him finally get a proper snk conversion especially after svc chaos.

Goenitz stuff, wanted to do a new jump CD but decided to just have a spark on the I suppose neutral jump C in SVC in place of it. Other stuff is mostly just recovery frames for more fluidity

So this is a free full lenght movie from 2018, and just a few days ago our benevolent Algorithm decided to grace me with it.
t's a dark fantasy movie made with 0 budget by 2 russian brothers I believe, and I've got to say I'm simply obsessed with it. The action is amazing, the animation is convincing and even the writing is falirly solid and unique. If I had to write an elevator pitch, it would be something like " what if Tarkovsky was really into Dark Souls and stop motion".
The only real downside I'll concede is that the authors also voice all characters, including 2 women, but this is 0 budget for real and this minus truly pales by how good everything else is. It is also spoken in russian, but there are eng subs.

Give it a go you won't regret it.

My attempt at smoothing out iori's intro animation since the original was surprisingly choppy (seems like it only recieved clean ups in later kof titles)

A new move and half for SVC R.Julia. it's BLASTO from SFV, plus the 2nd part of Psycho Cannon from SFEX, I think they can work together?
I did 2 variant of each, clean and with the SVC energy bits. I don't think I'm doing a fireball for it as there are plenty that I think would work well like from the Psycho Soldier team.

Some stuff.
Ryo run edited to be 8 frames instead of 6, possibly redundant.
Krauser walk...always felt a little off, so I took a closer look and gave it a little touch up without doing big structure alterations. Honestly only real KOF Mugen murderheads would care about this stuff.
Athena is edited to resemble a '60 concept art I saw somewhere.
