Technically he already is smiling. This is @HQ:'s progress from this morning:


I did mention it isn't finished! He still needs to transition to stance and a moving mouth for dialogue.

We'll never turn away suggestions, especially when you took the time to draw it out. I think we're gonna stick to the original direction though.

I appreciate the edit, it helps us understand what you mean. But it looks less intimidating, and like he's putting way more effort into it...which was one of your concerns. It looks further away from a "effortless demonstration of flexibility / prowess".

Is there anything you liked about the animation? :)

For serious though, Buu isn't a gymnast. That's not really what we're going for with his movements. I think the way his spine and shoulders move here is very unnatural and that's why we like it.

Not worth the time/efforts. Instead of upgrading an old joke character that no one will ever use, it's better to focus on real characters like Super Buu, Gotenks or Tien.

Doesn't seem like a huuuuuge issue to me. I just decided to remake this animation because it's probably the most visible. Piccolo and Tien have really smooth stances, so I felt like Buu's was lacking.

XG has been working on some really cool stuff that we can probably show soon. :)
