The old version was a cheap 3 frame loop, with bad sprites.  This animation looks 100% better in-game.

I don't really do the rotating/shifting/resizing step. I draw "stick figures" with a thicker brush and then trace over top of that for my outlines.

Apologies to those who submitted palettes previously. That was my mistake for releasing the template way too early.

Unfortunately the sprites and animations from early on aren't great, since I used this project to learn. :(  I won't be doing a full revamp, as to not get burnt out. Hopefully folks can look past a few ugly frames, and look forward to whatever character I might do next.

I mean, I probably would've made the jaw just a bit more open, since Buu is laughing hysterically.

But, even still; that's pretty well animated. Good on ya!
Thanks man, we actually have a few different laughing animations sprited. This one is probably the medium.

There aren't any character specific intros being planned for Buu. All of the voice work accounted for this.

"You want to fight Majin Buu?"
"What Buu say, Buu do! Now you die!"

      - Obviously a reference to his fight with Gohan, but it works against every fighter.

"This is your final hour."
      - Reference to the fight in the Time Chamber, but it works in every situation.

"All you people do is talk!"
     - Direct from the anime/manga. Works against every fighter.

Basically, we want Buu to say cool stuff that can be applied to all situations. Maybe this isn't what people want, but that's the approach we're taking.

They look amazing! It's interesting that the Majin Vegeta one has the M on his forehead.
Are you planning to make them as a win pose, Barker?
The reason Balthazar didn't do the M is because of how troublesome it is to sprite. These are just single sprites so I don't have to worry about consistency in a full sheet. :) I should also mention that Daeron and Balth contributed the Buubidi and Saibuuman sprites.
Doesn't this version of Buu still like Hercule? Like, wouldn't he not want to absorb Hercule since he befriended Buu? Also, wouldn't you have to code the palletes you have on the individual characters that Buu absorbs? If that made any sense..
I don't recall Super Buu showing any kindness to Mr Satan in the anime while in his Super form. Also this is a fighter where Goku can fight Goku, so I don't think there should be worries about this kind of stuff. :)
