They actually didn't if I recall. I only ever saw someone do CvS Scorpion ( similar to Z2 ). Never saw anyone do Akuma or Scorpion...Well, I may try to do them once I'm done with the one I'm doing now.

That Kid Buu looks SO SICK. I'd personally would use the colors of Super Buu Z2, but still, it looks so awesome.Such awesome sprites in Z2 style... What if I make a contribution soon?
Time for me to make my contribution for this. After months of being lazy, it's finally done. Jackie Chun Z2. Props to Daeron for the Roshi sprite I used as a base. Jackie would be an incredible character for HDBZ, if you ask me. EDIT: Looking at it, the right foot ( viewer's perspective ) looks really weird. I know not how to fix it though.
I've been thinking about making pikkon in a z2 style for almost a year now, and i think i finally have an idea that is good enough to present."Profile Picture" Full Sprite: Hopefully this fits the z2 style, and if not feel free to make any edits you see are necessary. And If you think I jumped into calling this a sprite project too soon, you're probably right. I purposely did it this way to get feedback sooner than later so huge problems don't have to be fixed later on after I start animating, like in the last z2 inspired project I made.
I don't mean to be rude, but I think edits wouldn't cut it here. There's a lot going wrong here (ie: his back leg is almost straight while his front leg is bent, yet both are the same height).
I think you should work on your anatomy and details before trying to undertake a full project.The body is just not really shaped right.
Is this Better? I tried to fix the pose and positioning of the legs. (I didn't really edit the torso because it didn't seem like you guys had any problems with it)
Not really all that better, copy paste it side by side with piccolo and try to see how the shading and body works.I dunno why you are saying I said nothing of the torso, I said you needed to work on anatomy, that involves the whole thing my dude. Keep practicing, youll get results
Maybe it would help to completely plot out his structure (like a stick man) so you can build everything else around that. But please keep at
