That's perfect. I must say, you're writing is excellent. As for the intro, right now im formulating ideas. What im thinking so far is, ill have quotes from the characters on either side written in blood red appear on a black space, which fades into a scene depicting each warriors words. As it goes on, the action builds until finally, it explodes, depicting the most extreme gameplay for each character, like their longest combo, with their big portrait on the side, finally it ends with shadows of the secret chars(though we know who they are, and goes black, before revealing the title screen.

The Hoshi surname was fabricated as a result of that god awful live action Street Fighter movie.

Now i think i might try a street fighter perspective. In fact, i may be able to mesh the two for the official intro. Anyways, here goes:

Many warriors i know, some i respect, and some i hate unendingly, have now joined me in a new universe after apparently entering portals just like my own, and now i find myself intertwined in a fight that seems much bigger than any other i had been involved in my own world. Everyday i encounter an endless stream of warriors who range from ninjas to cyborgs. Some of them i now call friends, and others i identify as dangerous enemies. And all of this seems to be driven by an evil man known as shang tsung. I may not know much about him or this universe but he must be stopped, for not only is he a threat to anyones sanity, but also to the balance of universe. Perhaps this is the purpose that i felt coming on before...

Someome please tidy this up. It doesn't sound full enough to me, but i dont know how to have ryu say more considering he doesn't know how the event happened.

Anyways, here is the basic story of the game:
After Shao Kahn was finally killed after the events of MK3, the throne that represented power over all the realms was now open. Battles had ensued over the throne, with many being injured, and just as many being killed. Shang Tsung, who had for the longest time lusted after the throne, finally saw his chance to ascend it, but knew he was far too weak to try and go after it in his weakened state. Thinking in his signature dark way, he caused more battles to erupt, turning friends and enemies against each other alike, harvesting the souls of the dead after their physical life had been ended, in hopes to gain enough power to kill anyone who would challenge him. However, he found that he was not gaining as much power as he was before from the fallen warriors of all the mk realms, and found that if he were to grab the throne before any other, he would have to do something desperate. Turning his back on the known laws of the mk realms, he opened a portal to the known, but forbidden realm of...the street fighter universe, seeing potential to gain a mass amount of power by prompting them to fight the mk warriors from the shadows. However, what he did not count on may come to destroy him, for he did not anticipate 4 warriors who sensed him and were prepared to destroy him and any others for pure sport: Akuma, the unstoppable "demon",Chameleon, the powerful ninja who served as Shao Kahn's guard but was now free to pursue his sadistic urges, The newly powered and murderous Ken, and a mystery warrrior soon to be revealed...

Sagat is still moving along steadily.

Dude, I'm not mad.  I'm just disagreeing with you.

Also, why replace Gill with Makoto? Urien should have took his spot. I'm not saying leave out Makoto, but replace someone unimportant with her, like Sean. We really don't need more shotoclones, and this guy sucks as one. Or replace Sean with Guy. That would make my day.

Also, my suggestion for an MK roster would be:

The SF3 sprites already clashes with the MK characters, not to mention Sakura and M.Bison (not in SF3 either).  No matter how one handles it there'll still be discrepancies between sprites.  If the endeavour to match sprite styles for the whole SF side is costing Firelord the possibility of having a more desirable cast, not to mention the endeavour being doomed from the start, one has to ask: why bother?

SF3 not being the third game chronologically notwithstanding, SF3 has always been the black sheep of the SF series.  Certainly the least popular, almost to the extent of which it buried the franchise forever.  You cannot possibly tell me characters like Remy, Hugo, Q and Necro carry as much appeal as the likes of Guile, Zangief, Balrog and Blanka.  SF3 is a chapter in SF history a lot of people would much sooner forget.  So why should it get nearly twice as much recognition?  Because it has pretty sprites?

• I think that SF3 sprites clashing with the MK characters is partly the idea, really - to illustrate the differences between the two sides. MK being the gritty, dark world where people would tear out spines in the blink of an eye, of course, and SF being much lighter and more compassionate. Actually, that might make a good plot point - assuming there's a story to this game, of course. 
• I've never actually played SF3 at all, having only known of it through Wikipedia and the old Sheng Long rumour, so I didn't really know what your gripe was about until now. Sorry and all that.

  I never said that at all. What I was trying to say was that the characters could be used because they would have macthed the SF3 style used by Ryu, ken, Chun-Li etc, not because they were more popular. But now that I know why it isn't such a good idea, I shall have to back down on this one.

You've misread me.  My complaint was that half of the SF roster was to be from SF3.  Over half, in fact; eight out of the fifteen debuted in SF3.  Having such a major chunk of the SF representation covered by such a minor page of SF history is the issue.

Yes but in the MK vs SF 2 (FLash) proxicide use the SF3 Hitsparks for Scorpion and Ryu

• If you must include Guile, then please, please, PLEASE don't make him CvS styled, as Chosis suggested. See what said I above for why.

Frankly I think there's too many SF3 characters involved, but again, you don't have much of an alternative.  SF3 was a fairly minor page in SF history, and to give it half the SF roster seems a little lopsided.

Just to clarify I'm not saying ditch the SF3 sprites, just don't use them to base roster decisions on.
