Hello, I´m ZombieNeko, I want to make chars in POTS style, but I have no idea about coding, so I'm here to ask for someone to help me
I'm using Memo's template so I can have a base
My current project is: Morrigan Aensland


What I've done by far:
- Basically nothing

What I need/want to do:
- Basic attacks
- Special attacks
- Hyper Attacks
- Lilith cameos
- Eternal Slumber and Darkness Illusion as level 3 hypers
- (Possibly) a special state for Eternal Slumber
- Color Separation
- Alternative voices
- Winquotes
- Special Intros (Lilith, male characters)

I hope someone can help me or give advise, it will be appreciated  :mthumbs:

I definitely understand how you feel.. I started working on my own chars recently... I have some trouble at times too but I learn as I go and some other coders will assist you too. I try to help out as well. Good luck!!  :dio:

Also, does anyone know where can I find these voice samples for Fiona? I can't find them anywhere:

To be honest they sound better and more accurate to the original voice from Haunting Ground

The projectile moves need hitsparks, check other characters of this style for references.

If you check the likes of Jmorphman's characters, Projectile Helpers will have a section reading HitSpark (not in the Hitdef where it's marked as -1).
It's usually in the Hit Pause statedef of the specified projectile.

Does anyone know if Fighter Factory Classic has viruses? I heard that it could have and I want to make sure that is safe

On the hitdef. I think you gotta change the attr or whatever it's under to I think S, SP more than likely.

So you want some help on this? Type out your entire strategy of making this character. Here are some tips.

1.Archetype
2.Play-style(Rush,Zone,etc) What is your focus?
3.Movelist (Now, you've picked an original mugen character(never in a fg, meaning you basically have to pull a Phoenix Wright on this)

What are your plans? Even if you have this all established it helps to write down. Set the blue print now and it'll help you along the rest of the way. Do you know the in's and outs of this character? That is how you can play with those intricacies. This will help you not have a template character.

Your jumping attacks need a Looped falling animation so that it doesn't repeat itself over and over again. add some falling frames to all the jump attack animations and tick the "Start loop in this frame" box at the start of the fall animations.

Are the chains via a config or permanent?

Permanent, since Fiona was originally a MvC styled character, it made sense to me that the chains were permanent, besides, Idk how to make that a config feature

If you check DW's other characters for example, they'll usually have specific statedefs for the Projectile's Hitpause.
The Hitspark statetype would usually be present there.

You've gotta change the y coordinate on the pos = line. which is the last 0 most likely.

The 0 at the end, pos is on the xy axis if that helps for the future.

I decided to restart her code instead of copy-paste, so I expect that she'll be more functional than before.
BTW, The Midnight Bliss sprites are placeholders, I still have faith that someone will be able to make them or Li-Kun will respond to me and send them (I think it isn't gonna happen tho)
