You can select wich music will play on arcade mode, by adding the song on character line in the select.def, but in tag/simul/turns system only the player 2 theme will play. If you want a theme changing on tag, you have to make what people suggested above, also if characters have super pauses, the music on the method suggested before will stop, and you'll hear the stage theme playing, but on select.def method, this does not happen.

This question is very relative, for me a character need to be balanced and polished, reasons why I don't make characters anymore, characters like the Z2 team roster fit very well on that concept. But we have more authors and more characters with that same concept in mind. For me broken characters with 5 hyper moves and infinites on stand light punch don't deserve the "best mugen character" tag.

Reverted and started again, the lifebar conversion was done without issue, but looks like I cannot change the system.def file or the motif.lua (if I get it right they to the same thing but the lua file handle the ikemen only features), if I add my screenpack it crashes during the startup, if I change any value on the files (like change the background animation) it crash. But sometimes the game load with all the changes made working...
Edit.: I'll try to launch ikemen using cmd and see whats happen (when I get some free time)

Thanks for the response, I'm still messing arround with tye engine, something I change started do give crashes (during the ikemen loading screen) without any log on .txt file, I'll revert some changes and try to find that did this, but I'm almost sure that the problem is with one of tye screenpack files... (but not the .def files)

I am trying IKEMEN GO+ in Gacel branch, and while converting my screenpack to it noticed a issue:
If I put the resolution (and change the localcoords as well) to 1280x720 this happens with my logo screen


While in Mugen it covers the full Window:

I did not posted in bug reports section because I'm not sure if thats a bug or if I messed with something.
I've changed the localcoord.lua and all the fight, select, system .sff, .air and .snd, the .def files I edited manually to avoid issues

Am I the only one on the planet who liked X5 way more than X4?
Not to say that I hate X4. More like I hate X4 when it comes to playing Zero. lol
Like, that game is actively against Zero at all times. If you play it as X, it's piss easy.

X5 strikes a perfect balance between the two characters, I feel. Plus, the RNG factor makes naked Sigma Stage runs the moment you start the game really enjoyable, without having to be a masochist. First goddamn try after not playing it for ten years, still feels just as good.

Also X8 was pretty damn good for what it was. Optic Sunflower's stage was exceptionally rad!

People talking about mmx and I lost it? Damn
I like x5 more than X4, but because they should have made X playtrough harder... Also I love shadow devil fight and how I cheese it with falcon.

Also Megaman X is making a return in Mobile with Rockman X DiVE, it uses megaman maverick hunter x engine from psp and is developed by taiwan capcom.

The game looks pretty damn good even being in mobile plataform, really similar with X8 and MHX, but with some rpg elements.

The estimate date for our demo is December, we are almost ready to release it.
We added some mechanics and balanced all the characters only their AI have to be updated! Gate sprites advanced alot, and Dynamo will get a revamp very soon.

Back to the topic, we are making our fangame in mugen 1.1, its stable and its features make the game visually a lot better, I personally use a quite old PC and have no issues with Mugen itself.

We're BACK!

One of our old members and mugen coder back and start helping with Vile's development, he is being worked to test new mechanics and possible changes on the gameplay, based on feedback of our testers.

Also, New Mechanics were implemented, some visible there:


Advanced Guard: Push your opponent back, burn 1000 power;
Phantom Dash Cancel: You can cancel the dodge move with crouch;
Throw: All Characters get one, with most based on existing moves;
Hop: Pressing dodge button while crouching you do a small hop that allow to use aerial moves except supers/hypers, good to use the Strong Attack (Overhead) or to extend your combo but also cancel a move with this hop burn 1000 power.

I am Working Right now on Dynamo and Gate Sprites


The demo is close to be a public thing, and we are very happy with the progress of our little project.

First fix was made, one thing I do is take the neutral button command and put a && command != "holdfwd"
Like
[state -1, X]
Trigger1 = Command = "x" && command != "holdfwd"

The old beta characters had almost the same systems and works outside of the game, but overclock bar will not be visible, only the arrow.
You can go mugen archive and download the old AlexDX4 versions to check for yourself, but is strongly recomended to play the full game, for full experience and balance.
They are also 1.1 exclusive and will not properly work on previous mugen versions

Showing more Update, Alia AI in early stages, also a small update that is coming to all characters.
The game is getting closer to a open Beta.
