Correction: Nothing means anything in real life. The universe will suffer a heat death somewhere down the line, and all of our efforts and memories will be washed clean by the grand apocalypse. So, in the end, it amounts to nothing.

Everyone will die so nothing matters

What a deep and interesting thought line

You've opened my eyes IntegerDemiseInteger
Nevermind, there's nothing I can do
Bet your life there's something killing you
It's a shame we have to die, my dear
No one's getting out of here alive
This time
What a way to go, but have no fear
No one's getting out of here alive
This time
It's a shame we have to disappear
No one's getting out of here alive
This time, this time, this time

I think you went a little too far with "factoring every possibility," my guy.
Is finding MUGEN to be more enjoyable to play when you're not wearing clothes an underrated opinion?

Well I mean after you finish reading the Wikipedia article on Nietzsche and you've listened to all your The Cure albums already I suppose telling people on the internet to give up on the universe is pretty much all you've got left.

  • One must factor every possibility.
Mock me all you like. But assigning meaning to things so fleeting just seems futile to me. Narrow minded, if nothing else. Trying to confine the universe to my phaneron is about as foolish as things come. Keep hope all you like. In fact, if you can see something in a finite existence that I can't, marvelous. I'm happy for you. But I'm content seeing everything as equally pointless, and really just focusing on what I enjoy.

If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.

Wouldn't our infinite lifespan make us see everything as even more pointless since we wouldn't have the fear of our inevitable death to motivate and remind us to make something of our life and do the best for us?

He's probably a teenager that just discovered that he has an opinion after his first Philosophy 101 class. Next he'll pretend to be emotionless and indifferent to everything. Oh wait.
