SecondDeath777 said, June 28, 2016, 07:03:28 pmCorrection: Nothing means anything in real life. The universe will suffer a heat death somewhere down the line, and all of our efforts and memories will be washed clean by the grand apocalypse. So, in the end, it amounts to nothing.
Everyone will die so nothing mattersWhat a deep and interesting thought lineYou've opened my eyes IntegerDemiseInteger
you do realize that our planet is gonna cease to exist in about a million year or so and not tomorrow?nah lets just have a bleak view on life just because it's gonna happen anyways.
Well I mean after you finish reading the Wikipedia article on Nietzsche and you've listened to all your The Cure albums already I suppose telling people on the internet to give up on the universe is pretty much all you've got left.
Mock me all you like. But assigning meaning to things so fleeting just seems futile to me. Narrow minded, if nothing else. Trying to confine the universe to my phaneron is about as foolish as things come. Keep hope all you like. In fact, if you can see something in a finite existence that I can't, marvelous. I'm happy for you. But I'm content seeing everything as equally pointless, and really just focusing on what I enjoy.

Gennos said, June 28, 2016, 09:14:36 pmwe should've have been immortal, only then we wouldn't see everything as pointless.Wouldn't our infinite lifespan make us see everything as even more pointless since we wouldn't have the fear of our inevitable death to motivate and remind us to make something of our life and do the best for us?

not to sound too melodramatic but are you terminally ill? or did you suffer a loss that made you like this?
He's probably a teenager that just discovered that he has an opinion after his first Philosophy 101 class. Next he'll pretend to be emotionless and indifferent to everything. Oh wait.
