Title: Ult Howard Arena (Fatal Fury - Tung Fu Rue)
Post by: ELECTR0 on June 28, 2017, 11:48:32 am
Separated the background & added multiple deltas as well as added X & Y parallax to the separated ground. Last added the rain from round 2, which starts pouring around time 1:20.

This is the first stage I've made from the original Fatal Fury game, but I have made another Tung Fu Rue stage from Real Bout before.

That bar would make for a good stage, hmmmm I might have to do that. :bulb2:

Man, great release dude, you're on fire.

Thanks Pexxer!

Aye please let me know, that's hype. A reason to always have that in the bar bgm.
You aren't active on your w.i.p. Sooooo. Just going to do this here. Don't know if you ever saw this, but I've already been messing around with IM (oan you never got to me with that Yoshi cave stage so I could learn to do platforms)

I just used the barrels because I didn't have anything else, but for this stage I was thinking about adding the tables and chairs as destructbles. Would it be possible for the spotlight to affect the characters in that specific spot? Also similar to how you did the doors in your final fight stage(optional transition, would be dope from bar to back alley). Oh yeah, man is there a way to trigger the water explode at a set time? Say, for example a stage with rain takes a minute for the rain to start. Or the water explodes would only appear in that section of the stage. The neogeo stage in cvs. One side is inside, the other half rain. Would it be possible for it to only be active on that side?

By water explode, I mean the splashes

To get the splashes to work only on certain areas of the stage, you could spawn an invisible helper for both characters in the middle of the watery area & once your close to the helper you can activate the splash explode with a trigger like this.

trigger1=numhelper(889478)
trigger1=abs(Rootdist X-Helper(889478),Rootdist X)=[-50,50]
trigger1 = Pos Y >= -1
trigger1 = Vel Y >= 0
trigger1 = time = 1

If you want to go further in depth then we could meet up on Skype & help walk you threw the process.

Well done, my friend. I'm pretty sure I still have the one from Real Bout you did. We dropped ours around the same time. You even coded the frog for me. That was nice touch. Keep rockin' bro.

i think it would look better to transition into tha rain with a lightning flash or 2 [like in Watta's "Before The City Sleeps" stage (https://youtu.be/ZHgrvgQF5bs?t=30s)], instead of tha sudden mid-speed curtain drop that occurs now. it just looks odd IMO. & maybe a couple or so swirl'd wind gust anims to help sell tha rapid shaking of tha tree leaves. otherwise than that tho, this looks awesome, especially dem smexy deltas. nice going good sir.
